“No signs of slowing down.”
Fresh from becoming the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza, SB19 continues to dominate online conversations, earning praise from international media, fellow artists, festivalgoers, and thousands of new listeners.
The group’s historic set drew over 500,000 concurrent viewers on Weverse alone and amassed more than 13.8 million reactions, with even more fans tuning in via Disney+ and Hulu.
The energy at the Allianz Stage didn’t go unnoticed. During a live broadcast, FOX 32 Chicago hosts remarked, “There’s a band that’s playing right now. This is SB19. The crowd has picked up.” Another host added, “People seem to like this SB19. Look at how many people are there… and this isn’t even one of the main stages.”
A foreigner attendee interviewed by ABC 7 Chicago proudly introduced the group to viewers. “We’re here to see SB19. They’re a boy group from the Philippines. They’re the first homegrown Filipino group to perform at Lollapalooza.”
In an exclusive interview with Disney+, the members admitted they felt the weight of carrying not just their group’s name, but the entire country.
“We feel pressured representing not only our group but also our country on stage… It’s something we really wished for, and now that it’s happening, we’re really honored and happy.”
Back home, emotions ran high as A’TIN celebrated the milestone.
“Yung sinasabi nating suntok sa buwan… but we made it. Our boys made it,” one fan wrote. Another reflected, “Eight years ago, grabe ang pangmamaliit sa inyo. Look where you are now.”
Even Ben&Ben woke up early to catch the performance, posting, “Legendary performance. Thank you for representing the Philippines, SB19!”
Festivalgoers also shared that curious attendees and members of the media began flocking to the Allianz Stage after hearing the crowd’s energy, with many staying to watch the group perform.
Adding to the buzz, Stell unexpectedly went shirtless mid-performance, sending social media into meltdown. “I’m gonna need 18 days to process this, Stell!” one fan joked, while another quipped, “Iniisip talaga ni Stell ang Team Philippines, nagpapandesal ka pa talaga!”
Before ending their set, Josh teased that “this isn’t our last Lollapalooza,” while Stell smiled and told the crowd, “See you again next year.” The group also shared that one of their dream collaborations would be with Bruno Mars, another artist of Filipino heritage, proving that after making history, SB19 is already looking toward what’s next.
