📉 Fairfax County Public Schools is in freefall — and the all-Democrat School Board is responsible.

The numbers don't lie:
❌ FCPS lost 6,894 students from 2015–2025 — the largest enrollment drop of any district in Virginia
❌ 1 in 4 students is failing reading, math, and science SOL exams
❌ 40 schools — 20% of the entire district — are officially flagged as underperforming by the state
❌ 275 teaching positions were cut this year... while 44 central office administrators each pocket over $200,000 annually
❌ Superintendent Michelle Reid — hired and directed by the School Board — earns $445,353 a year. Her chief of staff makes $306,154.
❌ The district spends $22,644 per student — more than the average private school tuition of $19,391 — yet packs 25 kids per classroom while private schools average 10

Parents have noticed.

Private school enrollment in Fairfax County has more than doubled since 2019. Homeschooling statewide has surged from 38,000 to 66,000 students.

This didn't happen by accident. The all-Democrat Fairfax County School Board — Chair Sandy Anderson, Karl Frisch (Providence District), Melanie Meren (Hunter Mill), Rachna Sizemore Heizer (Braddock), Mateo Dunne (Mount Vernon), Seema Dixit (Sully), and the rest — have spent years prioritizing equity rhetoric, administrative bloat, and ideology over the students sitting in those classrooms. They hired Superintendent Reid, they set her priorities, and they own these results.

Every one of them is up for re-election in 2027.

I am not moving my family and businesses from Virginia.

But something sinister just happened here and I need to take action.

I have lived here since I was 6 years old. I have done my share to help build this state up. I have owned a business here since I was 24 years old. I have employed thousands of Virginians. I have invested millions in plant and equipment. I have coached sports, been a leader in scouts, run internship programs, and participated in local philanthropy.

I am a political independent. I am for whomever gives me less government.

I didn’t get that in the last election.

The Virginia Democratic Party has come into power with proposals that seem to be almost comically evil.

Massive, business-killing tax hikes.

Dramatic increase in regulatory scope.

Socialist policies around things like rent control, entitlement spending exploding.

Sweeping limits on law enforcement and a reduction in crime consequences that make us less safe.

We have went from a Top-5 business friendly state to a place where many of the people in my business community are discussing relocating their business out of the state.

I watched this happen in Maryland. I can’t let it happen here.

I hate politics. Hate it.

I don’t want to run for political office. I have never given money to a state politician. I don’t try to influence policy.

I try not to talk about politics too much on X. It’s a boring argument.

I also think arguments about R vs D are boring.

I have known plenty of moderate Democrats in Virginia that I felt were good public servants.

However, the Democrat majority that was recently sworn in is like nothing we have ever seen here. These people are not centrists, and they represent a fringe view that is far to the left of the majority of Virginians.

I am now compelled to get much more involved with the political process here in Virginia.

We have to grab the wheel before we drive off the cliff.

Who should I talk to about becoming more involved in organizing opposition to the current proposals?

Who can I support to challenge them in court?

Who should I talk to about supporting candidates for future elections that will bring us back to the policies that have made Virginia so prosperous in the past?

Looking for specific people I should link up with. That could be Republicans or Democrats or Independents. I know there are many other Virginians from across the political spectrum that feel the way I do.

Virginia is worth fighting for.

An illegal immigrant from El Salvador with SEVEN prior arrests was released from Fairfax County jail. Less than 24 hours later, he allegedly murdered a Reston man.

This wasn't an accident. It was a policy choice.

At the final Fairfax County Board of Supervisors meeting of 2025, public comment was scheduled for 4:30 PM.

It didn't start until 9:30 PM.

Half the speakers gave up and went home.

This is what one-party Democrat rule looks like under Chairman Jeff McKay.

While other local boards—including Arlington County and even the Fairfax School Board—put public comment at the START of meetings, McKay's board buries it at the very END.

The message is clear: Your voice doesn't matter to them.

One resident who stayed, Mark Welch, raised serious concerns about FCPS budget games—budgeting for enrollment growth that never happens, then moving the money around without public oversight.

"I certainly resent paying taxes that FCPS uses for some unexplained or unjustified purpose," Welch told the board.

McKay and Democrats like Dalia Palchik, Walter Alcorn, and Kathy Smith don't want to hear it.
