First proper spell of Mumbai rains and the city immediately switched to survival mode.

2.5+ hours from Fort to Thane today.

The heat is finally gone but so is any hope of reaching home on time. 😂

Pretty sure half of Mumbai is already planning a drive to Lonavala, Igatpuri or Karjat this weekend.

Was on an Air India Express flight today where the aircraft was changed less than 24hrs before departure. So Business Class was no longer available. In such cases airline informs affected passengers in advance and offers alternatives. Yet after boarding few passengers decided the cabin crew was the problem.

Seriously I don’t understand this mindset.

The crew didn’t swap the aircraft.
They didn’t sell you the ticket.
They didn’t make the operational decision.

They are simply trying to get everyone to their destination safely. Its really not that difficult to understand.

But somehow few entitled idiots think the person standing in front of them deserves to be treated like crap just because they booked a BUSINESS CLASS ticket.

Have some basic courtesy idiots. Stop acting like the world owes you something.
Money/Points can buy you a Business Class ticket but clearly cant buy you CLASS.

Curry Road to Thane 2h 15m by road. 43 mins in a slow AC local.
Bhel wala on the platform still there. Same spot. Same story.
Kuch cheezein nahi badlti. Wahi scene hai. Missed this.

Sometimes things just work out if you show up.

Last min plan to Bandhavgarh this long weekend.
All safaris were sold out on MP tourism website, but still went hoping something might work.
Got 2 canter safaris somehow.
Morning in Magadhi - nothing for me. Others saw a tiger in the bushes, I missed it.

Evening was even worse.
Reached before time and still managed to miss the canter 😅 Just told our driver to go till the gate anyway… and saw the same canter there waiting. Got in.

15 mins later - tiger in the bushes.
Then he comes out on the road and just stays there.
Almost 2 hours - sleeping, looking around, completely unbothered.

Then gets up, walks straight towards us and disappears into the jungle.

Bandhavgarh was unreal.

Life is so unpredictable.
You can have stature, power, plans for everything… but no one can control time. When its your time, it’s your time. No one can pause it, no one can change it.

A sudden loss doesn’t just hurt it shakes your entire world. It will take a long, long time for the family members and a lot many people of Maharashtra to even accept what has happened.

Ajit Dada was built differently. Straight to the point. Listen to his interviews and you will realize he always said what he meant. No sugarcoating, no pretending. Many called it rude, but that was just Ajit Dada without filters.

Since today is Republic day viz. a day for the people, here is my wishlist for the BMC,

> Completion of concretization of all internal roads by May 2027
> Clean and walkable footpaths
> Strong BEST service funded by the BMC. 80K crore FDs need to be spent for welfare of the citizens
> One AIIMS style hospital to start construction every year. Ideally we should have 6 such hospitals for the 6 LS seats.
> Clean seafront with clean water by 2029. Lot of potential till for water sports and coastal tourism in Mumbai
> 2 more decent sized public gardens in each assembly constituency by 2031
> As promised in BJP manifesto, a dedicated multiplex for Marathi cinema + drama theater in each LS seat by 2031 (atleast construction to start)
> Plan to make public places aesthetically pleasing.

I still remember those visuals on TV.

All trains from Mumbai were cancelled. We couldn’t reach anyone in Bhuj for hours… then days. Dad and his brothers were constantly trying numbers, talking to anyone who might know anything. Every ring of the phone made their hearts stop.

What I remember most is how Mumbai came together.

People from nearby areas where we lived started coming together with whatever they could donate like godaris, bedsheets, clothes, food. Nobody had much, but everyone gave something. Groups were forming to travel to Bhuj with supplies, not knowing what they would find.

For months after, every phone call felt heavy. I still remember how mom and dad would quietly pray before picking up the phone.

It took a long time for people to accept what had happened. That day showed me destruction but it also showed me how people in Mumbai came together and humanity at its best.

Solo travel isn’t overrated.
It’s misunderstood.

There was a phase in my life
late 20s, restless, curious, slightly lost when I decided to ride my motorbike from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Alone. No convoy. No backup plan. Just the road and me.

What I thought would be a solo journey slowly stopped being one.
Somewhere on those highways, at chai tapris, dhabas, broken roads and shared sunsets people joined in. Riders heading the same way. Strangers who felt familiar within minutes. By the time I reached the destination that “solo trip” had quietly turned into a group journey.

It taught me openness.

Today, solo rides feel different. Quieter. More inward. I ride to listen to the engine, to my thoughts, to the silence between destinations. And honestly, I still need those rides. Because being on your own teaches you things no group ever will.

That said, I equally love the chaos of travelling with my family and friends
That shared laughter, missed turns, loud music, inside jokes, memories you relive years later.

Not picking sides anymore.

Different journeys. Different purposes.
Both equally necessary in my view.

Hot take: solo trips are extremely overrated and boring. I'm saying this after taking 3 sepate solo trips, just because I wanted to understand the hype.

If anything, they just made me realize I only enjoy when my close ones are with me.

Left home at 5:15, reached the booth at 5:20, voted and was out in 50 seconds.
Still only 47% voter turnout.

Maybe the problem isn’t people.
Names get deleted or changed, polling booths shift and voters aren’t informed.

ECI needs to rethink how voting works today maybe its time for DigiMatdaan.
All parties should come together and fix this so elections are truly transparent.
Hope we get there someday to become #DigitalBharat
