The distribution reached 200 displaced and vulnerable hhs affected by drought.

@kardo_aid in partnering with @iom_somalia launched plastic sheet distribution in Kurshaale village in Balcad today under the Somalia Common pipeline flood response supporting 600 families, contributing to the overall support for 1,500 families in the area.

After finalizing Shelter distribution plan, our team is heading to Balcad to assist 1,500 individuals displaced by recent floods.

This initiative is being implemented in partnership with @iom_somalia, SCP and @kardo_aid to support those in need.

@kardo_aid, in collaboration with @iom_somalia through SCP, has registered 1,500 individuals displaced by recent floods from Mareereey, Kurshaale, Bulo Abtow, and four other IDP sites in Balcad town.

These individuals now anticipating a timely SCP response.

Registration for the Balcad Shelter response, supported by @iom_somalia, has started.

@kardo_aid informed beneficiaries about the complaints mechanism and introduced our toll-free number for feedback.

MUAC measurements for child malnutrition screening were also conducted.

@kardo_aid staff, now trained in data collection, is ready for action! With support from @iom_somalia and the #SomaliCommonPipeline, we’re prepared to make impactful interventions in the community.

Today, we met with Balcad DC Kasim Ali Nor in his office to discuss the displacement caused by flooding and conflict, and @kardo_aid’s plan, in coordination with @iom_somalia, to distribute shelters to those affected.

As a member of the Somalia Localization Network - Solonet Consortium, @kardo_aid is pleased to have participated in the inaugural consortium meeting held in Mogadishu, where several other members were present, successfully laying the foundation for the network.
