Real-time digital puppetry using ZigSim Pro phone app. #b3d
Character driven by ARKit face capture data - ZigSim Pro app sends to Blender through Touchdesigner via OSC. AddRoutes add-on creates OSC routes that work with Animation Nodes to control the character. #digitalpuppet
@BriThe3DGuy 2/2- To set keyframes in Animation Nodes there is a “Bake to Keyframes” option. This plays the timeline and keys every frame of selected transform channels of the connected rig controls. There is also a specific “Set Keyframes” node, but I don’t get on with it. Hope this helps!
@BriThe3DGuy 1/2- Animation Nodes is the answer! Using the OSCulator application to receive the Wii controller inputs which converts and sends them as OSC (or MIDI) messages to Blender via the JPfeP Add Routes add-on, the controller can effect nodes which then manipulate the character’s rig.
@greenbaburu Absolutely fantastic… pure magic! As a newbie and ignorant of the technicalities, could you possibly recommend any explainers on how to move an object around inside a Blender scene?? My attempted setup is with AddRoutes plugin and Animation nodes. Keep up the good work👍!!
@petemonga@UnrealEngine Wow, incredible job! Love the hands👏Fantastic to see the development of your puppets… this little fella looks especially amazing. Good luck with the side project 👍
@louisdumont Very nice 👌, and I love the character design too! Can I ask what adaptations you made to the “script”? Excited to see where you take this technique 🤓…
@DukeGunston I love what you’re doing with these tests. A tantalising glimpse into what’s possible with real-time digital puppetry… Gob-smacking! Can I ask what input devices you are using to manipulate the puppet?
