It is literally mental harassment that every hour I have an unknown caller for real estate sales. I am also hiring candidates so I have to pick up all calls. Now agents call from mobile nos, not landline so it is even more frustrating @TRAI@airtelindia@Airtel_Presence
Receiving a call every 30-40s from various real estate agents & developers. I have never ever inquired for any house, office or any property or project. It has been 6 months now and the calls are only increasing. DND is ON and still this torture. @airtelindia@Airtel_Presence

Why do we lie when we buy an iPhone?
A few months back I switched from Android. When asked why I made the switch, my usual response is, because of good security features and superior camera quality, etc..
However, I've realised that I have been lying and my decision actually might have been influenced by more than just these things.
In fact, many of us justify our purchases of expensive brands, whether it's iphones, handbags, or clothing, by emphasizing factors like better quality and comfort.
But beneath these justifications lies a deeper, subconscious motivation – Conspicuous Consumption- the desire to showcase our social status.
Research by American economist and sociologist Thorstein Veblen sheds light on this phenomenon, which he termed "Conspicuous Consumption."
This concept refers to the tendency to purchase high-end, recognizable goods not solely for their utility but as symbols of prestige and wealth. And it's not limited to the wealthy; individuals from all economic backgrounds engage in this behavior, often without realising. Reason why many people buy iPhones on EMI.
Luxury brands capitalize on this tendency by pricing their products at premium levels, tapping into our desire to signal our social status through material possessions.
But can we break free from this cycle? Despite our awareness of its existence, peer pressure make it challenging to completely avoid conspicuous consumption.
So, the next time someone asks you about your expensive purchas, take a moment to reflect on your motivations. It is probably, a small step towards reducing such conspicuous consumption. 😀

Zudio and Westside are the same company!
But when they already had Westside, why make Zudio a standalone brand and maintain 2 brands in the same industry?
They don't even share stores even though it will be very cost efficient
Here’s why the TATAs are doing this:
That’s because the space these brands occupy in your mind is more important to the company than the space they would save by sharing stores.
Loss of brand recall from your brain would cost them more than the rent they pay for separate stores for both brands.
This is the basics of product positioning.
They want to have a clear-cut distinction in your mind about the two.
Because otherwise, the brand recall becomes extremely confusing.
People who love Westside go there for their superior quality.
It is positioned for the mid to high-segment audience on the slightly mature side.
Zudio, on the other hand, is for people who love fashion trends at great pocket-friendly rates.
It is positioned for the mid to low-segment audience on the slightly younger side.
Now imagine if one day, Westside starts selling Zudio kind of clothes and tries to trade them off for a cheap price, their main customers won’t buy them.
Even though the Indian market is extremely price sensitive, including the mid to high-segment, they still won’t buy it.
We need to understand that quality generally comes at a price.
And Zudio compromises on that because it wants to make fashion affordable for the aspirational.
Westside doesn’t compromise on quality because, contrary to popular perception
— quality is the deciding factor, not price.
Its purpose is consciously making style simple for every moment.
People don’t care about how much a shirt costs.
They care about its looks and feel.
And since Westside customers are shopping from them not for price but for quality, they will lose trust in the brand.
Losing customer trust & loyalty is costlier than paying rent for separate Westside & Zudio stores.
But there’s another reason for this:
We need to understand that not only was Zudio created to cater to the rising aspirations of the middle and lower-middle class of India,
but it was also created to solve the biggest problem with Westside, which made Tata Trent’s retail spread across the country limited —
Westside failed in tier 2 cities, and that destroyed the plans they had with it for tier 3 and 4.
It failed majorly because of the price.
Consumers in these areas want great prices, and premium clothing does not interest them.
Also, Westside didn't spend much on brand awareness in these regions.
Probably because they couldn't establish a good enough proof of concept there.
Their product range was also not correctly positioned for tier 2-3-4 cities because they have subtle designs.
Tier 2-3-4 is becoming trend-conscious and needs more trendy designs, which Westside could not deliver.
And they couldn’t even pivot Westside to cater to the local needs in tier 2-3-4 because that would again ruin its brand perception.
Westside had plans for expansion pan-India in many more cities,
but since they were not able to reach profitability in tier 2, they understood that they could expand to 2 dozen cities at max.
And hence, Zudio was born.
With Zudio they want to have the first mover’s advantage in the tier 2-3-4 and the newly trend- conscious Bharat.
And since tier 2-3-4 is totally dominated by the unorganized sector, Zudio was able to easily create its niche in the market with a stronger brand than theirs.
With better trends to offer than what was already available in the market and matching their prices, it has the potential to dominate that market.

I am from Himachal. I am saying this:
1. We don't need tourists. On the name of tourists we have Unmarried Couples or Druggists.
2. We need to protect our heritage.
3. You want to uplift people, impart skills other than opening a hotel on loan in an unsafe location.
4. Make a restriction on how many people can visit as tourists in any season.
5. Himachal has become absolute shit hole due to tourists.
6. Jiske ghar bache ko chutti hoti hai, chalo Himachal.
7. Animal exploitation, Nature Exploitation, Local Residents harassment, Cultural Exploitation etc...what does not happen on the name of tourism.
8. Go to any famous place, you will not find a place to park vehicle even after 6 hours of waiting line.
9. Incessant blasting of Himalayas has wreaked havoc.
10. People entering from Punjab with their Khalistani flags.
11. Tell me one single place that is worth visiting peacefully.
I may sound insensitive. This was bound to happen someday. I just never though that people of my state will be the ones to face the burnt. Where are all those bloody tourists now? At their homes watching news.
All those who earned from such tourism, its all gone in 1 rainy season.
@PMCPune@mpcb_official At the hotel. Zomato and swiggy are not operational right now, we only do dining at the hotel. We have not violated any MPCB guidelines and they should investigate the vendors who are providing material in the name of eco-friendly products!
@PMCPune@mpcb_official 8-10 persons forcibly entered the kitchen of hotel w/o following hygiene protocols, went into the store and found one bag of cloth parcel bags which has eco-friendly tag on it and for no reason or valid proof fined Rs. 5000/- & also blackmailed staff.
We as a hotel are following hygiene guidelines & everything possible from our side, but aren’t the authorities responsible to follow our guidelines and be a bit cooperative? Forcing into kitchen & not listening to staff is not the way to spread awareness.@PMCPune@mpcb_official
@PMCPune@mpcb_official The @mpcb_official authorities have violated our guidelines, blackmailed the staff and behaved like the highest power by shouting and misbehaving. We were okay to talk and pay the fine but they had no proof or warning letter.@PMCPune
