@CastellanoWorks@DougLilliequist working on a forest game and was just looking into three.js meshlet solutions myself when I came upon this - are you forking off of https://t.co/tIdexfSFM8?
I've been building layout engines and grid systems my entire career, and the latest leap in model capabilities finally feels like it has set me free.
This prototype explores a thesis I wrote in 2019 on “structured randomization”: generating layouts within a strict set of rules, including a column grid, padding, safe space and an underlying pixel grid. The model can only play within those boundaries.
The result is 180+ variations I can quickly scan, compare, and use to make more deliberate design decisions myself.
been developing the mechanics for a strategy game where your "civ" is a microbiome on the forest floor
this weekend I turned my notes from the year into a prototype with the help of Astra and Opus 5.5 and wow
Do more with Glass
→ Add it to any object, shape, or text
→ Round individual corners
→ Adjust the spread of light refraction with Splay
→ Apply variables from your design system
Pane-fully excited for this to be my first product launch @figma 🥁
Loved building the effect panel and introducing new input UI! Also made the light intensity indicator mimic real-world dimming heheh
Go put glass on stuff! Make weird shit!
