• Use remote state (S3 or Terraform Cloud)
→ never store state locally

• Enable native S3 locking (`use_lockfile = true`)
→ replaces DynamoDB in modern setups

• Pin providers & modules
→ avoid surprise breakage

→ reusable + testable

• Use variables, locals & outputs
→ clean + flexible code

• Keep http://main. tf minimal
→ move logic into modules

• Enforce fmt + validate in CI
→ catch issues early

• Store secrets securely

• Run terraform plan in CI
→ detect drift before apply

• Use workspaces carefully
