Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nās are the final two chapters of the Qur’an, collectively known as Al-Mu‘awwidhatayn (the Two Chapters of Refuge). They were revealed as a source of protection for the believers.
In Surah Al-Falaq, Allah teaches us to seek refuge in the Lord of the Daybreak from all external harms: the evil of His creation, the darkness as it spreads, witchcraft and sorcery, and the envy of the jealous.
Surah An-Nās then turns to the hidden and internal dangers, calling upon the Lord, King, and God of mankind for protection from the whispering of Shayṭān, who whispers into people's hearts and then withdraws.
Together, these two surahs form a complete shield—protecting the believer from both visible and invisible, external and internal harm, and reminding us that true safety is found only by seeking refuge in Allah alone.
Almighty. Protect us from those who are trying to harm us & have bad intentions towards us. Purify our hearts & fill it with love & goodness. You are indeed our refuge & strength. Surround us with those who will empower us. May You always be our Guide. Keep watching over us.
If you’re experiencing low Imaan (which totally happens even to the best of the best), i urge you to connect to the Qur’an. Recite it out loud, listen to it on length, or read its translation even if a couple of ayaat. trust me the heart recognises the words of Allah. It will soft your heart. Inn’Sha’Allah
Whoever asks for Paradise, three times:
[اللهم اني اسالك الجنة]
Paradise will say: "O Allah, admit him to Paradise."
And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times:
[اللهم أجرني من النار]
Hell will say: "O Allah, save him from Hell"
[Ibn Majah, Graded Sahih]
