The freeze has thawed. Quilibrium V2.1 is now live on mainnet!
Builds are now released to general availability.
The network has unhalted and we’ve entered a 24-hour initial enrollment phase. This is a pivotal moment, as the first set of nodes joining will define how shards are distributed across the protocol. It marks the beginning of live operations. If any critical issues arise, we have a path to pause and return to a safe state.
After 24 hours, the network becomes fully decentralized. The beacon shuts down permanently, shards are finalized, and transactions in the new format begin processing. From this point forward, the system is operating fully in the 2.1 environment.
Once stable operations are confirmed, which may take between 24 hours and a week depending on conditions, we will activate the bidirectional bridge, bring QStorage and QKMS onto mainnet, open QConsole for everyone, and migrate existing user data into the upgraded environment.

Q4 2024
Right now, we are drilling through the remaining message passing issues of 2.0.4 – getting through these is important, as while 2.1 will be more sparse in mesh density, ensuring that the network appropriately handles extreme overpeering (like is happening now) means a far healthier and resilient network when attempts at intentional overloading occur. v2.0.4-p1 is going through test runs on testnet (and if you'd like to help, please run some testnet nodes!). After these message passing issues are cleared, v2.0.4-p1 will be promoted for general availability, and testnet moves towards v2.1.
There are additional items in flight alongside this. We are building an interactive dashboard for node operators to have clear at-a-glance information about their provers, landing rates, and identifiable issues operators can take charge on to improve their own node's tuning. This dashboard update will also be helpful for v2.1 in seeing underallocated rings (and greater reward potential) and give optionality for provers to better strategize their prover ring allocations to optimize earnings.
The other major improvement is the addition of a network explorer. This will give deeper details, similar to a block explorer, in tracing one's own transactions and general success in landing proofs. Overall network state, emissions, and accessibility of owned data will be easier to view here without bespoke tooling. Both the dashboard and explorer are targeted to arrive in the next few weeks, with early previews arriving sooner.
While v2.1 is in testnet, we'll begin rolling out early access to the features being planning to run atop the network, with distributed storage (S3 API compatible) and MPC key management. v2.1 is going to be undergoing a very intense test period on testnet, but getting builders using these services early will unlock many of the initial applications that builders are wanting to create, for secure decentralized app hosting, decentralized social media content storage, and powerful wallets for other networks that no longer have custodial risks.
