She was my teacher and my heart is aching right now. God knows how I wrote my paper after this news. May God have mercy on her. Please guys, spread it as much as you can.
Yet another Ahmadi Tahir Iqbal shot dead in Hasilpur, today. He had no enmity but fell victim to hate speech. So sad. Fire of hatred stoked lately in society must be extinguished before it consumes everything. State must ensure safety, security of all regardless of caste & creed

Hours after the @BalochYakjehtiC camp organizers decided to end their nearly two-months-long sit-in outside the NPC in Islamabad, the organizers of the Baloch Shuhada camp also called it a wrap.

🇵🇰 PAKISTAN: Amnesty International condemns harassment faced by Baloch protestors in Islamabad
“The Pakistani authorities should be ashamed of the harassment meted out to the Baloch Long March protestors. This is not the end the Baloch women would have hoped for when undertaking the perilous journey with their children to demand justice for their families. The authorities have been heartlessly indifferent to the plight and demands of the peaceful protestors camped out in the severe cold for the past month,” said Carolyn Horn, Programme Director, Law and Policy at @amnesty.

The apology letter of Professor Sher Ali, who is associate professor of biology at district Bannu, is both a code of conduct and a lesson for all progressives individuals and educators. Whether you are a scientist or a Ph.D. professor, this affidavit tells, you have to teach n speak according to will of powerful religious extremist what he wants or wants you to follow. you cannot deviate from any aspect stated.
In the end, people who have taken this affidavit forcefully are absolved of any responsibility for any kind of attack or harm directed at Professor Sher Ali.
Mullahs teachings are the reality in this society, and following them is necessary for survival.
Around 8 or 9 miscreants climbed inside an #Ahmadi 'worship place' on Martin Road, Karachi using a ladder today, damaged its windows & furniture, and fled before police arrived. There are so many religious extremist groups in Pakistan but my guess -- #TLP is behind this attack
Current Senate will be known for:
-Secret cameras spying on secret ballots in voting booths
-Aborted bid to exempt parliament from right to information law
- Scuttling requisition over demolition of churches
Its echos will be heard far & wide, for long

While the IG and Punjab govt have filed the Jaranwala incident under “work of hostile intel agencies”, a petition by the Christian community in LHC states that the community in the city is still facing threats from extremists.

HRCP is gravely concerned by reports of threats to the Christian community in Sargodha, where religious-political parties continue to campaign for stricter and more frequent use of the blasphemy laws. This has led to dozens of arrests targeting both Christian men and women, as a result of which the community is now living in constant fear for their lives and the security of their homes and sites of worship. Although many of those arrested have been released, at least four men are still in custody. With the mob-led attacks in Jaranwala still fresh in people’s minds, the local authorities must take concrete steps to protect Sargodha’s Christian community and release those still under arrest, while ensuring their security.
