Leadership is not seen in times of happiness and joy but in times when misfortune hits 🎯.
Omusuuga was a regent to the fallen king, he fathered him, up to 34. He called him his king and now because he has stood firm in times of chaos. He's bad.
See how unfair that is to Charles kamurasi mpuga.
He deserves better. He has seen it all
I always look out for people standing firm alone.
The ones the mob shouts at “crucify him”
History has taught us, that 9/10 times, those people are right.
Thank you Musuuga.
Every institution needs such a principled man! We as Bahororo have decided to give him a wife, in appreciation for his solid leadership and commitment to upholding the Tooro’s integrity.
OH GOD, BLESS OMUSUUGA!
In the evening of his years,
Omusuuga executed a Herculean task.
Thank you, Omusuuga for doing a thankless job.
Omusuuga managed and led mourners.
A spineless being would have collapsed.
Amidst intense judgement,
He stayed on course.
He kept his eyes on the prize.
He put his head in the game.
He totally locked in.
Omusuuga was unshaken.
He remained resolutely focussed.
The King must be mourned as a Mubiito.
Omusuuga determined to guide everyone.
He taught us the ways of his ancestors.
He was firm where situations demanded it.
He was gentle when strategy demanded it.
As we approach the closure of one reign
And simultaneously start another reign,
I thank God for Omusuuga’s life and leadership.
I thank God for Omusuuga’s support teams.
I thank God for Omusuuga’s family and friends.
Whatever happens tomorrow, Omusuuga juuu!
@FrankGashumba We need to be reminded that those who don't take responsibility are not arrested.
A parent who takes as a responsibility rather than a choice needs to be applauded.
@FrankGashumba When a father is deadbeat, the whole world abuses him.
When a father provides the best for his children, people start making quotes about how it was his responsibility and how he should never be praised.
Men are simply never appreciated.
A Plea for Unity and Respectful Discourse in our Political Journey
Dear Mr. Kyagulanyi and Mr. Mpuuga,
I trust this letter finds you in good health and high spirits.
I write to you with utmost respect and admiration for the significant roles you both play in our society. Your dedication to the betterment of Uganda, Mr. Kyagulanyi, as a prominent figure leading the #peoplepowermovement, and Mr. Mpuuga, as a respected leader, is evident and commendable.
I recall the profound impact of the documentary "Bobi Wine: The People's President," which allowed us to glimpse into the sacrifices made in the fight against the challenges posed by a shrewd dictator.
It is clear that both of you [Mpuuga on A4C and walk to work which was equally bloody lest we forget] have made substantial contributions to the advancement of our nation.
Allow me to share a personal encounter that underscores my appreciation for your commitment to change.
Mr. Kyagulanyi, you are akin to a brother to me through our shared connection to the arts. Your background in the ghetto and your dedication to humanity have left an indelible mark.
Mr. Mpuuga, my first interaction with you was during the tumultuous times surrounding the play "The State of the Nation." Despite the challenges we faced, your leadership in the face of adversity was evident.
As we navigate the complex landscape of Ugandan politics, I feel compelled to express a concern that stems from my deep respect for both of you.
The essence of this concern is captured in the notion that machomanism and internal strife will not lead us to success in our political endeavors.
Politics, as I see it, is about forming alliances and garnering support for our causes. It is a delicate dance that requires us to build bridges rather than burn them.
I implore you, my esteemed leaders, to consider the importance of unity, respect, and constructive dialogue in our shared mission for a better Uganda.
I draw inspiration from the teachings found in the Bible, where Jesus, when faced with judgment and condemnation, said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
It serves as a powerful reminder that, just like in our families, where imperfections exist, we should approach political challenges with humility and a willingness to find common ground.
In our pursuit of a brighter future for Uganda, let us emulate the strength of families who overcome internal conflicts by addressing issues within themselves. Instead of resorting to abuse and demeaning tactics, let our discourse be marked by understanding, collaboration, and a shared commitment to the well-being of our beloved nation.
I believe that by fostering a culture of respect and unity, we can overcome the divisive forces that threaten our collective goals.
Together, we can build a legacy that future generations will look upon with pride and admiration.
Thank you for your time and consideration. May our shared vision for Uganda guide us towards a path of prosperity and unity.
Sincerely,
John Segawa

Ugandan popstar-turned-politician @HEBobiwine tells me music “landed me into trouble – good trouble.” A new film follows his run for the presidency, and the story isn’t over: “We are definitely going to continue challenging General Museveni in every… moral & constitutional way.”
Earlier this week, Mariam Wangadya, the Chairperson of the Uganda Human Rights Commission delivered the most ridiculous statement in which she insinuated that some of the abducted and missing NUP supporters were 'ghosts' and never existed. She lied that some of the next of kin of our people were non-cooperative and that some of them were no longer interested in pursuing the cases of their people.
Today at the @NUP_Ug office, our leaders hosted these families at a press conference. They reminded the nation of the circumstances by which their people were abducted and are still missing three or four years later. There are also recent abductees whose family members raised the plight of their people.
After the press conference, these family members headed to the UHRC head office. As expected, Wangadya did not give them audience but sent them to the regional office in Naguru. They proceeded there and assured the Commission that they are still pursuing the cases of their people. Contrary to Wangadya's statements, several of them even took National IDs and other identification documents for their people.
On our part, we have asked Wangadya to stop mocking victims of these crimes against humanity. She is such a disgrace to the office she holds!
We shall stop at nothing in our pursuit for accountability and justice for our people using all domestic and international avenues.

This is Yasiin Busulwa, a @NUP_Ug supporter who was abducted in Nov 2021 being presented before journalists at the party offices after he was dumped in Nakawa. This gentleman couldn't walk after being tortured to this extent
#UgandaAbductionExhibition
Following the disruption by security forces to our plans for the day, the President, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, has decided to host family members of some of our comrades who have fallen victims of the regime’s brutality.
At his home in Magere, they dedicated prayers for the release of all political prisoners and the liberation of our country.
#FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersUganda
Calling upon all pro change seeking Ugandans in Boston to join in the protest tomorrow the 11th of October at Waltham Square 10:30 am to 3pm. Let's create awareness of the plight of Ugandans where it matters and policies are made. #?freeallpoliticalprisoners
We've hosted at home the relatives of some of our comrades who were abducted and disappeared or imprisoned by the regime for supporting change. We comforted them and shared a prayer for the immediate release and return of their loved ones. Uganda will NEVER be independent for as long as citizens continue being punished for holding divergent political opinions! #UgAt61 #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople
After raiding our headquarters to prevent us from addressing the country on Uganda's 61st 'independence' day, police and the military have proceeded to arrest party leaders and supporters. The Secretary General @DavidLRubongoya, Spokesperson Hon. @JoelSsenyonyi and scores of other comrades are now detained at Kira Road and other Police Stations around the city. We owe it to ourselves to resist this impunity!
The state has arrested over 800 innocent Ugandans in today’s scuffles that included arresting @HEBobiwine from the airport tarmac ramp. Due to the overwhelming numbers, most of them are now being held up in different military barracks for they’ve no room in police detention centers as well as the prisons. Operations were based at Katwe, Kiira & Kawempe police stations.
Musician and Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine, subject of a new National Geographic Documentary Film, has been placed under house arrest. This is not his first time facing home detention, but our thoughts are with him and his family. Learn More: https://t.co/bOkdjbO1fv
