To you friends in the @UPDFspokespersn,@PoliceUg etc-patriotism is not believing in a particular administration,it is for instance not about supporting or believing in Museveni &protecting his personality. It’s about fighting for your country& dignity-protecting the #Constitution
@SamsonMKasumba Honestly, the law has to go. First off, that's the problem with making laws that target political enemies, something you've failed to critique in most of your submissions. Nevertheless, it's time Parliament addressed why people are forced to renounce citizenship, just to serve!
@fsnakazibwe@VUKampala I acknowledge his capabilities and positive attributes; however, does his provision of a scholarship to you and his amiable demeanor justify a disregard for legal statutes?
@CultonScovia@mubuuke This kind of judicial process has unfortunately contributed to instances of mob justice within Uganda, tragically resulting in for instance the recent loss of a prominent Ugandan sports star. Such events have also prompted a significant exodus from the country.
Ministers holding dual citizenship were required to present a completed Certificate of Loss of Nationality (CLN) to the appointment committee on vetting day,in accordance with Ugandan law. Submitting documents initiating the process without the full CLN does not meet legal duty.
@DickensOkello99@HasonMutunzi@AsiimweDicta The other three individuals who possess dual citizenship should also be excluded, as their endorsement violated the very law they established in 2009. Share the list if you may.
@SamsonMKasumba Do you know how many Haitians, Ugandans, etc., in the USA have naturalized yet freely embrace their heritage? By naturalizing them, Rwandans in Uganda acquire equal citizenship without altering their ancestral history, and it allows them to fully embrace their Rwandan heritage.
@T_E_F_L_O_N The classification of Banyarwanda as indigenous Ugandans within the 1995 constitution introduced significant complexities for Rwandese refugees residing in Uganda, as a substantial number of them are either first or second-generation refugees. They should have naturalized them.
This would grant them equal citizenship in Uganda without altering their ancestral history and allow them to fully embrace their Rwandan heritage. Classification failed them. Amend the constitution, naturalize them, and help them- simple.Without that, confusion will stay forever.

So many Banyarwanda have been forced to become Bafumbira to avoid having problems in some places I will not mention! The issue is why and how did we get here? Why is it a problem when someone says I am a Munyarwanda born in Kayunga? Parents also born in Kayunga too! In a country where documents mean nothing to most of us who would know now if their grand parents were here before February 1 1926 and can produce proof for the same? I don’t even know where my Grandparents were in 1926 myself.
