@lRlNACHAN Rupert's not yearning as much because he's making the active choice to spend less time with Taggie in order to protect her from himself. That shows he's becoming more mindful of how his actions impact others. He told her he couldn't bare to break her, that's how much he loves her
@ingstresting I think the show is dropping the Declan angle of the forbidden relationship after s1e8. It was one thing in the book when she was 18, but she's 20 years old. At what point is that promise he extracted just another way for Declan to take away Taggie's agency
@emmagrc12 I don't think Helen and Malise would join Corinium simply because Rupert has tied his house to Venturer success. That house is also Marcus's (Helen's child) inheritance
@IreneDmitrieva I think it's probably Dame Enid teaching her the way Seb did in the book. Declan doubting her (even if not intentionally meanspirited) hurt her more than Rupert's joke (she was already mad at him). Her self worth and value to her family is so tied to her need to be useful to them
@artenthologie@taggiercb But I mean, Taggie created a successful catering business in the show and book. She singlehandedly made the NYE party possible for 100 or so guests. Her problem is that she takes on so much on her own. And it's one of the things Rupert wants to help her with. Which is a contrast+
@artenthologie@taggiercb And I don't get how maturity gets brought up when Taggie is more mature than Rupert himself. He may have this life experience but he's emotionally immature. Meanwhile, Taggie may not have life experience but is more mature than people her age because she had to parent her parents
@artenthologie@taggiercb Cameron and Rupert were a good fit in Spain precisely because it wasn't really his world, more like a vacation. He was trying to seduce/impress her to get Corunium documents, putting on a show, the only person that saw beneath the surface of his Spain act was his friend Nicky
@regalwonders Leaving Kate out of the perfume merch launch made absolutely no sense. The only female lead with a distinct scent, had the male lead acting a fool over it, and had perfume TikTok making videos about what perfumes would make you smell like Kate. Just insane
@mimisflo But the same people complained when it was pointed out that Anthony was the father figure. Anthony has to act as the father while Benedict gets to act like a brother. That's the reality and how is that a drag?
@ourlovebelt With these low effort Supriya screecaps I can't help but think of how they treated Simone Ashley in Bridgerton since S2. Always conveniently no stills taken of them
@ProTTBasu I feel like this scene could be about Miranda trying to prove a point. She's being cancelled for something and what if it's related to the designer of that jacket
@penguinempress8@chrkrose They contradict themselves a bit though when they call the Sharmas of the manor born. Meaning someone accustomed from birth to wealth, privilege, and high social standing
@mimisflo Are they really using the book where every character is white as a defense for micro aggressive writing? The book written by JQ who said she doesn't know how to write for people of color?
