Today, we're taking in another intake due to a homelessness case. Temporary accommodation was provided by the council, but unfortunately, the dog is not allowed. As a result, the owners have been sleeping alternately outside to avoid losing their dog. This situation is unacceptable, and housing protocols need to change.
Due to the owners not having the funds and us not having an available transporter, we have covered the cost of their train fare (£51.50) to get to us locally so we can bring the dog into our care. This will allow the owners to safely stay off the streets on alternative nights and be in their temporary accommodation.

We only have one transport vehicle, which is used every day for drop-offs and collections, not just around London, but all over the UK. Today, we're picking this dog up locally in one of our cars, and don't worry, he'll be buckled up safely.
If there are any vehicle showrooms that would love to donate a small transporter to us, it would indeed help us immensely and cut down on the long hours that one person is having to do. 🧡
