@1236 Why do you keep tweeting images of NOW street boxes? NOW stopped delivering to them in March 2020 -- over two years ago. They were just as unused, defaced and derelict in 2021. This has nothing to do with the current issue.
@cityoftoronto@TOPublicHealth I know this photo isn't from today, but notice how the road is nicely cleared but the sidewalk isn't? This is a societal failure. This is not okay.
@FuzzyWuzzyTO It's not because they think "weather" is plural โ it's because they wrote "are" to agree with "staff shortages" (which IS plural). They made the verb agree with the wrong noun โ "shortages" isn't the sentence subject. That's the source of the error.
@AndreeC @juliebeeeeee @RyanChatterjee@celliottability Ask the airlines about that. They're cancelling flights โ not due to restrictions but because they're understaffed (pilots/other staff sick w/ COVID). So you'll get the "pauses" and inconveniences one way or the other. Why cause more illness & the healthcare to system collapse?
@DavidHains We need REAL consequences for things like this, not just slaps on the wrist. Any party that does this should be barred from running in the next election. Not one candidate barred... not the leader... the whole party. Full stop. Nonsense would end *real* quick.
@EBethHarlow@BreeNewsome I don't disagree that some of them are lousy at it; just reject the notion that the press is "useless" by default. People gasp at mass layoffs announced at media orgs but then say "just get rid of press conferences!" That's not the way to support quality journalism.
@jkenney That's what trade schools are for. Public education should be about teaching people how to think critically and understand our world more fully. It's not a corporate training program, you nitwit.
@DanDesautels@jm_mcgrath@LeithDunick When I booked last Thurs morning, I got June 9. Then I went on Sunnybrook Hospital's website and got a slot for May 16. Got my shot yesterday! (And cancelled my Jun 9 booking). Try the hospital websites, too.
@fordnation Most on the flights ARE Ontarians. They are coming back home from non-essential trips... just like Rod Philips did in December and the heads of Rogers did last week. These aren't tourists... everything is closed and there's nothing to do in Ontario.
@georgebell@MetroManTO I think we need to get rid of the "bike lane" as we know it. The entire right lane (full width) should be given to active transportation (bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades) and e-bikes/e-scooters should be included (perhaps with a speed limit).
@DrKateJMiller I agree with you. I'm more likely to trust medical advice that doesn't try to gloss over risk (it's so rare/I'm sure you'll be fine). NACI's wording could have been smoother but they are telling the unvarnished truth.
