Any time Black people stand up for themselves or their own, here comes somebody whining, “You can’t fight fire with fire.”
But Black people have been burning for centuries. Don’t lecture the man in the fire about the temperature of his resistance.
i’m sorry i know Kenzie was gagged being told she’s not Zach’s usual type. It’s kinda satisfying seeing the blonde blue eyed white girl not be the beauty standard for a man NO SHADE THO #LoveIslandUSA
poc solidarity doesn’t exist. they come into black communities to make a profit from us, appropriate black culture, but they never respect the people who makes them their fortune & the aesthetics that they rip-off all of the time. smh.
— in 1991, 15-year-old latasha harlins was murdered by a korean-american store owner over a bottle of orange juice. in 2023, cyrus belton was murdered in a gas station for no reason. NEITHER have been served justice. our black youth are never protected. the cycle repeats… 💔
There are actually a few stories out there about black women who have tried to start beauty supply stores in their own communities and were blocked either through local govt or other means by the Asians in their community that wanted to maintain the monopoly
I absolutely agree, but a part of how insidious their racism is - they have a monopoly on the braiding hair and black hair care market they work in coordination to push out or keep Black people from breaking into that industry
Sometimes I feel so weird explaining to someone how inconsiderate they were in a situation. It's like if you didn't feel yourself being a bad person idk what's left to say.
Real is rare and when it's in you it feels so weird to explain
I used to drive myself insane overexplaining someone’s level of inconsideration, only to be gaslit and met with a condescending tone when I approached the conversation in a healthy, respectful way. You HAVE to leave people where they’re at.
