So in your grandma’s Ruby’s video you talked about the soul and treating it with love, passion, and acceptance — I really appreciated that part. I’m just curious: when do you believe the soul actually forms? Is it at birth? At viability? Or at some other point?

It feels a little disingenuous to leave that part out, because most Christians (especially those who take the Bible seriously) believe the soul comes directly from God at the moment of conception. Scripture says God forms us in the womb (Psalm 139:13–16, Jeremiah 1:5) and that He is the one who gives the breath of life. If that’s true, then the unborn child already has an eternal soul from the very beginning — which means abortion isn’t just ending a ‘clump of cells,’ it’s ending a human life that God has already breathed a soul into.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on when that soul enters the body. Because if we agree every person has a soul that deserves love and protection, then protecting that soul should start at conception, right?

In addition, Roe v. Wade claimed that the right to abortion was found in our Constitution under an implied ‘right to privacy’ — a legal argument that as you said even Ruth Bader Ginsburg openly disagreed with. On top of that, our founding documents say every person has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So when exactly does that life begin? There are multiple constitutional arguments here, which is exactly why Roe v. Wade was rightly overturned. It was a bad legal precedent that never should have been imposed on the entire country.

Wait so because he is rich he should make bad business decisions? Are you suggesting he should let the paper go bankrupt instead of laying people off? Or are you suggesting he should use his own money to pay their salaries because the paper cannot cover its expenses?
Not to mention it’s 2026 if they are good reporters/journalists they do not need the Washington Post to make a living, legacy media is dying.

That is not true, the real ID is federal it is for flying and some federal buildings and you can use your passport instead. You do not have to get the Real ID to drive. Wait so do you guys think we should allow people to vote on an honor system and that you don’t have to prove you are a citizen to vote?

Also you can request a certified copy of your birth certificate or marriage license from the vital records office in the state where you were born or married. You should do this regardless of the voting law and place them in a fire proof safe in your house.

Sorry I wasn’t familiar with this term. To clarify Catholics don’t think the priest is Christ. “The term is typically used for priests when they are conducting the sacraments, and it really refers to Christ acting through them with them as instruments for his action. It refers to them participating in Christ (as all Christians do) and Christ working through them”.

Yea I may have exaggerated that $20-$30 worth of fruits and veggies in gone in two days but I still think groks estimates were off at least for my age kids, family size, and city. My sentiments was that $20-$30 worth of fresh produce doesn’t get you as much as you would think. And my first comment was trying to give the OP some grace because people were commenting on all the processed food, I was simply saying that the processed food is cheaper than fresh produce for the most part.

When Catholics participate in the Sacrament of Confessions we are not confessing to a priest, we are confessing to God. Then the priest—acting on the authority given to him by Christ through the Apostles—forgives us in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. We are forgiven by God not the priest. There is also the act of penance which is a very important part. I do agree with your earlier post though… I would bet the OP would receive a penance to confess to whoever he has sinned against.

Umm I’m not sure if I should take the mom comment as a dig. I have 4, all athletes and two teenagers. They have self control, they are great kids but it is expensive to feed them. It also depends on where you live, my MIL is from a smaller town and is always amazed how expensive our grocery stores are.
