Today’s our birthday, but we’re giving you a gift — the brand-new Borealis service!
Enjoy round-trip daily trips between Saint Paul, MN and Chicago, IL onboard Borealis starting May 21st.
An off-duty Jackson, MS police officer hit and killed a pedestrian crossing the interstate. His mother filed a missing person report. The PD withheld info from the case's investigator and his mother. An ex of police disrespecting pedestrians they've killed #pedestriandignity
The discovery of 215 bodies buried in unmarked graves behind a jail outside of Jackson, Mississippi, has left a community in disbelief.

For the first time, UK regulators banned SUV ads for lacking "a sense of responsibility to society."
The Toyota ads -- featuring SUVs going off-road and across a river -- "condoned the use of vehicles in a manner that disregarded their impact on nature."

One of my favorite quirks when scheduling evening volunteer board meetings/calls with boomers is that you have to schedule around when the news is on or they'll hang up at 5:29 for the 5:30 news.
Today's Text: "News hour is basically over at 6:50 so can start a little earlier."

Thanks for the shout-out in the @UMSEAS Connect this week. So proud of the SEAS Class of 2023 for establishing the 1st endowed scholarship fund as a class gift. HUGE thank you to all donors! Article: https://t.co/bU0fuube3n
I maintain you're your worst version of yourself when you're driving a car. The most selfish, distracted, and therefore, dangerous. It's not only that you're a danger, but the mindset shift that occurs when you close that car door & cut yourself off from society.
The fact that West Liberty, two blocks from downtown Ann Arbor & an elementary school, is 30mph has never made sense to me. There are many pedestrians - it's residential! However, cars routinely speed over 35+mph down the street. @a2gov <50% chance of survival if hit
Remember, when it comes to the actual likelihood that a vehicle crash will occur at all, AND whether the consequences of a crash are serious, or even deadly, or not, speed is ALWAYS a factor. Including when the legal speed limits are currently too high. #SpeedKills#VisionZero
Mayor Adams has the tools to end traffic violence, yet yet he continues to put politics over people.
We’re facing a crisis of traffic violence on our streets — 183 New Yorkers killed in traffic violence.
We demand action.

Corrected this caption on a @Wikipedia article on #schoolzones today. We don't need more auto-normative victim blaming. If you hit a child while driving an automobile in a school zone, that's your fault, not the child's. 100%. @TheWarOnCars #pedestriansafety#saferoutestoschool
Very sad to lose someone so talented.
Not drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed... yet somehow the 23yo driver "crossed from the right-hand lane onto the shoulder, striking White from behind before she crashed into a fence."

I almost never got off my bike after commuting home from a 12 hour day of work in a bad mood.
(Unless I was honked at, harassed, or nearly hit at my mid-road final left turn to my front door... Then I was usually pissed.)
Leading a #BikeBus might be the easiest & most impactful way to impact climate change. Over 30% of students at my school are driven on non bike bus days.
Considering the number of cars & trucks I hear slam into the flexible center lane pedestrian sign and the bike lane delineators outside my house, there would be a lot of broken side mirrors on the ground. They're wide enough for city buses to fit through, but only some choose to.
