Dear friends. I have decided to leave Twitter X. I am disgusted by the pro Israeli and extreme right wing stance that Elon Musk has decided very openly to adopt. He is not capable of, or able to maintain the neutrality that any great leader whether in business, politically, or in kingship must possess and abide by.
In short, he is an immoral man who has failed to adopt the free and open global network that the internet was designed to promote. In fact, he has shown the world how greed, megalomania, and the worst of capitalist ideals perverts the better path and future each of us deserves and are working towards.
Please, send this far and wide, leave the network as well and make a clear statement of truth, independence and the right for free speech with me.
Let’s act together and now. This is not just about Musk, it is about all authoritarian leaders with malign agendas worldwide.
Thank you and good night. Jonathan Tod 🌹🌹🌹
@JakeWSimons just read your article about how the BBCs reporting of the staggering number of civilian deaths in Gaza is misleading and dangerous - so is spreading Propaganda, Mr Simons, you should think about adding that to your resume
We have freedom of speech in the UK; it's written into our law in the 1998 Human Rigts Act. But rights come with responsibilities (I appreciate that's a concept you're not familiar with); there's a requirement not to incite criminality or spread hatred online. We find society works better that way.
@UKLabour I’m on the fence, you have my vote if you remove the ridiculous paper and cardboard recycling sacks and replace them with a proper bin so they don’t blow around the street and cause chaos every week @BrentLabour
@Hertz please can you give me email contact details for Hertz LAX - there are no details on your website and I have been once again recharged and overcharged without consent on returning to the UK
@Independent#davidhughes if you came to any of the marches calling for a #ceasefire you would find a very peaceful and respectful march with enormous numbers of people from the Jewish community #sloppyjournalism
Children in Gaza are so hungry they are eating animal feed to stay alive.
This is what our political leaders have normalised with their silence.
A ceasefire is a basic demand to stop people dying — and should be made by anyone who believes in the equal value of human life.
I’m one of 55 senior broadcast journalists urging Israel and Egypt to allow foreign media into Gaza with ‘free and unfettered access.’ Broadcast journalists send open letter calling for foreign media access to Gaza | Evening Standard https://t.co/sPPcS5zYW0
@JamesCleverly if you are confused in any way about the marches calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza (referencing your interview in @thetimes )— they are calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza — and represent the vast majority of the nation — pay attention 🙄
