My neighborhood went though a horrible Pitbull trauma (leapt over fence to nearly kill a small dog in front of young children). For some reason a few people decided they should get their own pitbull. I miss being able to walk safely in my own neighborhood.

When I lived in Texas, I was terrified to canvas in the exurban, "country" parts of the state because people often had violent dogs roaming around without leashes. I was chased by several dogs, including pit bulls, multiple times.

There's no way this shouldn't be considered a crime.

Yes those are exceedingly feminine women. Do you want feminine women or do you want women who work around the potential of chemical burns and hazmat bodily fluids or who lay tile and fix drywall and sweat and break their backs and are happy living in a bus with an outhouse and are too tired from a long days work to placate your expectations of femininity?

Because you can't have both.

@vocalcry My husband’s grandmother gifted us her V6 Clinton-era Camry when she decided to stop driving. I drove it for ten+ years until it was brutally murdered last fall by the biggest deer I have ever seen. Very little trouble outside of basic maintenance. Incredible car.

Finally. This is the first study I've seen that looks at the effect of disruption on _others_ in the class (or in the neighborhood) rather than only looking at the effect of discipline/punishment/enforcement on the one doing the disruption. They _both_ matter. The former more so.
