Condolences from the NI Regional Familial Hypercholesterolaemia group. Andrew was a great supporter and advocate for our work over many years and we continue to benefit from our partnership with NICHS. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former CEO, colleague, and friend Andrew Dougal OBE.
As CEO of NICHS from 1983 to 2015 he was a passionate advocate for people suffering
from chest, heart and stroke illnesses and he leaves a lasting legacy.

Behind door number 3. Blood samples. Three colourful tubes. Introducing EDTA (the purple one), SST (the golden barrel) and Sodium citrate (the coconut one? Blergh!). They’re not just different in colour, so you need the right one, for the right test. #PathologyAdventCalendar
