My 16yr old son has #LongCovid and it’s heartbreaking. I’ve not talked about it here in part because we’ve been in denial.

It’s so hard to believe and accept that our thriving, healthy, active, high achieving, football loving, teenager has has to quit football, his band, College and social activities. Covid has left him with many of the symptoms listed below including chronic fatigue, brain fog and
post-exertional malaise.

The more we’ve researched and asked for help, the clearer it is that there is an urgent need for more research, education and action to understand and address long covid, especially in children and young people.

Grateful to @BinitaKane & others who’ve been calling for action for years now. I really hope the message is now getting through?
