The trouble is, i don't see the aspiration of moving to dead planets as advancing society.

Everything about AUKUS is a joke.

Australia should build its defence around:

* diplomacy - working on good relations in our region
* industry - developing a strong manufacturing base so we can supply ourselves in a conflict
* pure DEFENCE of our territory, not force PROJECTION.
