2/2... need adaptations as a neurodivergent teacher and am so grateful that my managers understand this and are supportive and non-judgmental. I spent many years as a student and then a teacher feeling misunderstood, and today I didn't feel that. That's why I'm emotional.

1/2 Feeling quite emotional, actually, after a CPL session, led by our principal, about adaptive teaching. It was so child-centred and emphasised the strengths as well as the challenges of ADHD, and the importance of knowing our students as individuals, and their needs.

I delivered an assembly on celebrating neurodiversity at my daughter's (junior) school today. The very best bit was my daughter reading out what she'd written about being dyslexic, but I also loved it when I said, "Good Morning" and the children chanted, "Good morning Katie!" 😍
