¡SE DIO EL MILAGRO! ❤️🇨🇻
Hurricane Helene left devastation in its wake, changing lives across North Carolina in ways most people can’t fully grasp unless they’ve seen it firsthand. But from the wreckage, there’s been a quiet and powerful story of resilience, generosity, and hope.
I’m thankful for the people who showed not for recognition, but because it was the right thing to do. Men and women who left their comforts behind to serve in the thick of it, capable hands doing hard work with humble hearts. These folks aren’t just disaster relief workers. they’re the glue that’s held communities together when everything else fell apart.
I’m thankful for the survivors who’ve chosen hope over despair. Watching families rebuild their lives, neighbors helping neighbors, and strangers becoming friends reminds me why this work matters.
I’m thankful for the lessons Helene taught us about preparedness, community, and what really matters. It’s not the stuff we own or the comfort we cling to its the people we stand beside when the storms come.
And I’m thankful for every single one of you who’s been part of this journey if you gave time, resources, or just kept us in your prayers.
This Thanksgiving, let’s not just count blessings but be blessings to others. There’s still so much work to do, but together, we’ll keep moving forward, stronger and more united than ever.
Happy Thanksgiving. Stay frosty, stay prepared, and keep serving.
As for the scammers and grifters I hope you forgot to thaw out your turkey.

🚨 Alert 🚨 critical shortage of IV bags.
I ended up at the Dr needing an IV for dehydration they said they are rationing the bags due to this facility being closed. This is not fake news I drove by multiple times and thought man that place got rocked.
That place is Baxter International’s North Cove facility, which supplies 60% of the U.S.’s IV fluids. Now, hospitals are facing a critical shortage, potentially delaying surgeries and dialysis. The AHA urges immediate federal action, including invoking the Defense Production Act.
You can see the river next to the plant.
@RobertMSterling One of the greatest hidden gems! Great proximity to beach & mountains, affordable living, fantastic universities & healthcare. Food scene, the arts, & diversity getting better daily (Ral, Asheville & Charlotte in a pocket). Also, incredible talent pool from UNC, Duke & NCSU.
@gputman@KatecBowler “I did not understand that one future comes at the exclusion of all others.” Indeed thought provoking & impactful. Thank you for sharing, @gputman!
