@storyneedle @jcolman You know, normal as opposed to abnormal. In certain contexts it’s absolutely fine such as “let’s not normalize violence” but when it can be replaced with something else it should be.

@storyneedle @jcolman I would be careful with using the word “normal”. Neurodivergent people feel a sting any time it’s used as the equivalent of “the right way to do it”.

@jcolman If I want to emphasize or explain it more, I also add “regulate” but that sounds a bit too dictatorial so I usually just use “codify”. I’m the author of our content design system so I use these words a lot when I’m roadshowing 🕺🏻
