@NYMagUnion is back at the bargaining table tomorrow. Join over 5,000 people who signed our reader solidarity pledge if you haven't yet. We're asking @VoxMedia to stand up for quality, human-made journalism in a moment of existential industry crisis:

5,000 @NYMag readers & counting have told @VoxMedia they plan to stand with @NYMagUnion if we walk out. Tomorrow, we're back in bargaining. The time for a fair deal is now. If you haven’t signed, tell Vox you support New York’s 150 union members: https://t.co/jqD9zCrqIF

I support the New York Magazine Union's fight for a fair contract and will not cross any digital picket lines in the event of a walkout!!! Show your solidarity by signing the pledge here:

And we’re not alone. Many of our readers and friends are pledging to not cross a digital picket line in the event of a walkout. That means no engaging with New York content from (Yes, even the Cinematrix) during the length of any potential action.
Despite our willingness to compromise, management has rejected our sensible proposals again and again. Enough is enough.
97% of our members have signed onto a pledge to do whatever it takes to get a deal, including a potential work stoppage.
Since last March, @NYMagUnion has been negotiating a new contract. But @VoxMedia has refused to meet us halfway on basic issues including giving us meaningful wage increases, controlling health care costs, and offering reasonable protections around AI in our workplace.
We’re back at the bargaining table next week, and believe that we can get this deal done. So let @VoxMedia know that we have your support and that you’re ready to help us do whatever it takes.
If you love @NYMag and the work that @NYMagUnion does to make it, join our friends like Julia Fox, @theannadelvey & @bejohnce and add your name to our pledge to support us in the event of a walkout: https://t.co/jqD9zCrqIF
You asked, we delivered. Here’s a thread of some places in NYC—besides our neighborhood bodegas and Yemeni coffee shops—where print issues of the New York War Crimes are currently available.
We’re ready for @NYMag management to come to the table with compensation that reflects the cost of living, relief for our overworked members, and AI job protections. A better future in media is possible!
Some @NYMagUnion members sat for their own “elite” portraits too. (The anonymous quotes in this project do not just reflect the people who sat for photos.)
