Can you see this slight asymmetry of the bone? Our poor #rhino had scoliosis! 🦏 Learned this (and much more!) from Wrocław University team during our kickoff meeting for the project "Life and death of rhino (Stephanorhinus sp.) from Western Poland" 🦏 #FossilFriday
@GraemeSwindles I'm surprised that people writing comments like these actually read the scientific papers and take an effort to contact the author, I would rather imagine them commenting climate-change-themed-stuff on social media or so. It's somehow optimistic, one day they may understand.
I'm more than happy to start working on these samples with @utriculator! 😍 It is so exciting to hold a 100 000 years old sample and hope to find in it anything about the world back then! 🦏 #PhD#Science#LWEM
Our war on wildlife: now birds are not allowed in trees...?! Pigeon spikes spotted in Clifton, Bristol above a car park. Has anyone seen this before? How is it allowed?!

Eight journalists and twice as many scientists (including #LWEM representative!) took part in the first Poznań meeting joining media with science 📻 + 🤓 + 📺 Time to spread some news about the beauty of #peatlands and the need to love them ❤️ #RzecznicyNauki
Once upon a time a very clumsy rhino drowned in a peatland. 🦏 More than 100k years later he's famous and we are thrilled to examine his life and death! 🧐 Research grant to study palaeoenvironment of the fossil rhinoceros just got funded, we're waiting for the samples 🦏+🔬=❤️
