Men,
Lastly,
You are marrying the mother of your children,
Not a drama performer.
Not a social media trendsetter.
Not an Instagram influencer.
You are marrying a woman to live with for the rest of your life.
Don't be mesmerised by a short-term chemical explosion called beauty, romance and sex.
Avoid these social media hoodrats, and Gilbey dragons.
Marry a silent girl, who values her silence and privacy.
Marry a woman who is ready to conceive, birth, breastfeed and nurture babies in privacy.
Beauty will fade, but character will remain.

The biggest lie young men believe is that a woman loves you first, and then starts doing things for you.
The reality is the exact opposite. Human beings love the people they invest in.
When a woman pours her time, energy, and effort into making your life easier, her mind locks onto you. Her brain justifies her actions by concluding that you command high value and respect. Action always creates attachment.
But this level of devotion comes with a strict condition: emotional safety.
Taking care of someone requires vulnerability. If she nurtures you and the kids and you take it for granted, ignore it, or dismiss it, her care becomes a liability. She will instantly shut down and withdraw.
Genuine appreciation is how you secure a relationship. When you acknowledge her effort, you prove that giving to you is a safe bet. That is how casual affection solidifies into deep, unshakeable loyalty.
The modern men miss this reality. They chase women who only take, while ignoring the ones actually willing to build.
If you want a functional relationship, you have to look beyond what your eyes can see. Vet strictly for a woman's capacity to invest.
If she never lifts a finger to add value to your reality, you are hosting a parasite.
Let me tell you something, young woman, especially if you are one of those who think being loyal to a man means you are doing him some great favour.
“I don’t sleep with any other man apart from you.”
That is not a favour. That is basic loyalty in a committed relationship.
If a man is faithful to you, respects you, protects your peace, and chooses you every day, you are not doing him a favour by remaining faithful to him.
You are simply keeping your side of the agreement.
Loyalty is not a gift you give your partner so you can later use it as a weapon.
You should not be saying, “After everything I have done for you, I have never cheated on you.”
That is not something you should hold over your partner’s head.
You chose the relationship. You chose the commitment. You chose to be faithful.
And the same applies to men.
Nobody deserves praise for simply doing what they agreed to do when they entered a relationship.
Loyalty is not a favour. It is part of the responsibility that comes with choosing someone.🤷♂️
have anyone to go home to.
You do.
And that home is your safest abode.
The amount of temptation you'll receive as a young married man will be more.
And if you're not careful, you may make terrible mistakes that may cost you a lot.
There is nothing outside.
End.
Receiving gifts as a man is always a special feeling, no matter how small.
We don't get much, so the little things we do get mean a lot. A girl bought me a powerbank 3 years ago and I still have it… i don’t even use it anymore, but I still keep it just because.
NEMESIS, a new crime drama series from the creator of Power, premieres May 14.
Y’lan Noel and Matthew Law star as two men on opposite sides of the law — an expert criminal and the detective determined to stop him.
This is what a non-transactional relationship looks like.
1. You go on dates, the man pays for it.
2. She visits him, she pays for her transport.
3. On their special dates, they gift each other whatever they can afford without comparing or competing with each other.
4. She pays for her hair, airtime, rent, etc, and he does the same.
5. If they're cohabiting, she brings and he brings, but he pays for the rent. And the bringing doesn't have to be equal.
6. If they're serious, she continues to look for ways to invest in him, while he continues to look for ways to invest in the future of both of them.
7. If she's in genuine financial needs, he can offer to help as much as possible if he can.
8. Once in a while, he can decide to give her money randomly. Especially when she does something he's proud of.
9. He's not responsible for her siblings or parents' financial needs or wants.
10. Sex is never weaponised or commercialised. It happens because both of are adults and you enjoy pleasing each other sexually.
11. You genuinely care for each other, and would still continue to care for each other, even when sex has not been involved for a while.
12. If the woman "loans" him money, he has to pay back. And if he "loans" her money, she doesn't necessarily have to pay back or pay all.
End.
This post is for those who carry the weight of their families—fighting poverty, supporting relatives, and trying to make life better. It’s tough and often overwhelming as most requests for help are genuine.
You mean well, but don’t forget yourself. If you have children, they come first. Help where you can, but know who your primary responsibility is.
One tip: If you struggle to say "No" (like me), commit your money. Avoid keeping easily accessible cash—I've learned that mobile money makes it too easy to give away.
When your money is tied up—like in building materials or loan repayments—it’s easier to say “I don’t have,” because it’s true. Committed money protects your goals. #nodignityinpoverty #happysunday
You can just go on MIT Opencourseware & study any course you're interested in, download all the course materials & watch all the lectures on their youtube page.
Some of you, the only time that you receive a call from your siblings or relatives, is when they want to ask you for financial help.
They don't just randomly call you, to say that they want to check on your wellbeing.
I will excuse your parents or guardians in this thread.
They're your parents, and you're supposed to be the one calling them, far more than they should be calling you.
As a young man or woman in a relationship.
This is something alot of you may be taking for granted, or have not paid close attention to.
It's not good to be emotionally lonely, when you're building your life or career.
You need that one person that you'd call to speak to, at least once a day or in few days.
Someone you can trust a great deal, & someone that is building with you.
Someone that you'd share your good news with, when you pass that professional exam, or you achieve a major task in your life.
Typically, this period is between the ages of 26 to 30.
I need every young legitimate hardworking man or woman to think critically about this.
Yesterday, I said that most married women who are happy in their marriage, are the ones that met their husbands when they had nothing significant to their name.
And it's true for the most part.
A lot of things can happen in marriage that, if your spouse is not someone that you started life with, & knew him or her to a very large extent, you'd not have patience, or you'd not be so kind to him or her.
Learn not to ruin your young relationship with greed, unnecessary pride or deceits.
Learn that the young girl that you're dating today, & you think she's not beautiful or classy enough for you, is also growing.
And that she will not be like that forever.
Diamonds are not shinny when they're first discovered.
As a young man living alone & working hard, you need a girlfriend.
She's mostly going to be the only one that would be buzzing your phones everyday, & waking you up with loving messages.
You also need someone that can quickly help you reach out to your family, should anything happen to you.
If you keep staying alone, & saying that you don't need a girlfriend because you're "chasing the bag", you'll not understand what it means to have a wife as soon as possible.
And before you know it, you're in your 30s, & now too busy to even date properly.
You'll find yourself doing what you should have done long ago.
And marriage will start to scare you, because almost every lady that you'd meet will want to leech on you, & you may not even be able to trust them.
For you young ladies, my honest prayer for you is that when you genuinely want to commit to a man, may God not bring a deceitful and greedy man your way.
Because some men do not even know what they want.
Just vibes and inshallah with coins in their pockets.
Thinking that they have arrived.
Once you sense that he is not leading you right, lies unprovoked, a bet addict, a fraudster & doesn't speak like someone who wants to marry a wife early, please stop wasting your time with him.
Leave his stupid life alone, & look for responsible men elsewhere.
Let oloshos deal with him.
End.
