I ventured back to Lincoln this weekend to celebrate a friend’s wedding (congratulations to the Reeds!). So great to see some friends and former coworkers along the way…plus I couldn’t manage to avoid an old fashioned Nebraska Severe T’storm! ⛈️
On Wednesday morning, Nebraska Lt. Gov. Joe Kelly, along with both FEMA and NEMA officials flew on a Nebraska Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter.
They conducted damage surveillance and assessment over areas impacted by recent storms and tornadoes.
“Counties are still in the initial stages of assessing damages.”
You can read more about storm updates regarding response and recovery in the press release below.

The National Weather Service confirmed 3 tornadoes in Platte and Colfax Counties. 🌪️
