wearing a mask outside when you’re the only one walking on the sidewalk doesn’t make you look like you’re “protecting yourself and others.” it just makes you look ✨d u m b✨
@benrector I was born and raised in OK and I will die on the plain that it is the south. It’s not the Deep South (like Louisiana or Alabama) but it’s NOT the same as Kansas or Missouri where they say “you guys” instead of “yall”
@livelaughloved_ So I 100% understand and respect your concern and in no way want you to feel unsafe or uncared for. I just think that the knowledge of how the term “high-risk” changes a lot.
Can anyone give me a good reason why Covid cases going up is bad? If the death rate has been declining since June and the survival rate is like 97%, why is an increase in cases a bad thing? If you have an answer please let me know
@livelaughloved_ I just learned in the last week that “high-risk” in regards to covid doesn’t mean higher risk of death or even of getting Covid. It just means higher risk of hospitalisation, which those with underlying conditions are more likely to go to the hospital sooner and more often anyway
@livelaughloved_ people accept a level of risk when they step out of their homes each day, regardless of Covid. We shouldn’t be reckless but living our lives normally instead of trying to prevent the death of those ready to die isn’t reckless.
@livelaughloved_ I said this in another tweet but the reality is, it is not the job of the living to prevent death. And if we live our lives trying to mitigate risk for others, we should all stop driving, serving food in restaurants, flying planes, and hundreds of other things that carry risk
Call me insensitive but when did we as a society (especially those of us that are Christians) decide that death is bad? We shouldn’t be negligent but our job as living humans is not to prevent death. Death is just a part of life as breathing. Why does it have to be bad?
does anyone else’s mask tickle their nose really bad and itching it through the mask jusy makes it worse so then you have to pull down your mask and touch your nose which is exactly what we’re not supposed to do? Just me?
I understand postponing homecoming but if fans aren’t allowed to attend football games either, stillwater is done for. It will become just a town with a school in it
