@UrbanAffairsRev @mullinmeg @EFCatUNC Excited this is out! Conventional wisdom suggests voters punish elected officials for increasing service fees. We test this notion & find rate increases should not incite backlash. Politicians that overestimate the threat of electoral punishment may underinvest in infrastructure.
