Has anyone had success with keeping HR below AT? I cant even roll over in bed without it going above my recommended rate
How do I know this site has bots?
There couldn’t really be so many people calling themselves Australian patriots who want to:
-Give away our minerals to corporations
-Raise taxes on EVERYTHING by lifting GST
-Support billionaires offshoring money & jobs
-Believe foreign lies
Anyone who bothers to read the US Congressional Research Service’s advice to Congress on AUKUS knows we will not get subs from the US. Anyone who bothered to read the recently released UK Parliamentary report on AUKUS knows we will not get subs from the UK https://t.co/EJAX6FJqgs
Leen Hijaz, valedictorian at her high school in North Carolina, said the following in her graduation speech:
"Before I leave the stage, I have one last thing to say. Every single person here has a voice; we have the privilege to use it when millions around the world are struggling and suffering to be heard. Whether it’s the millions suffering in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Afghanistan and so many other countries around the world, or families being torn apart by ICE. These are not just an issue here; they are happening there, they’re happening right here as I speak. My point is, we’re not given a voice to stay silent."
Corey Robin, a political theorist at Brooklyn College, writes: "The mere mention of Palestine—maybe ICE, too—sent the high school principal, Melissa Moore, hurtling across the stage to seize the microphone from Hijaz, and stop her from saying these unapproved words.
Just look at this photograph: A young Muslim woman, speaking out, and a desperate, terrified principal trying to shut her down, lest the student say something unauthorized, disapproved, discordant with the views of an increasingly small clique of government officials and voters.
It's so pathetic. It reads like a comic play by Václav Havel. It looks like the desperate last days of the Soviet Union. I can only hope Hijaz speaks for a generation that will, one day, sweep all this garbage into the dustbin of history".
I was today old when I learnt that Charlie Pickering took it upon himself to be interviewed by Avi Yemini. One week after he took the job of Melbourne Drive radio host on ABC.
As life choices go, Mr Pickering has certainly misjudged his audience, his community and his luck.
Just a reminder: when Barnaby Joyce joined One Nation, Pauline Hanson received a $100,000, 42.5% pay rise, due to One Nation getting enough MPs to be classified as a minor party.
Yesterday, she stated that she would not support a 6% raise to the minimum wage.
As a clinical health psychologist who has written >20 papers on COVID, I would emphasize 4 facts:
1) Long COVID is not a psychological diagnosis nor manifestation of a psychological condition
2) Billions of dollars need to be invested in biomedical treatments and preventives, and that money is not being invested because of wealthy short-term interests, which prop up various narratives, including in the media
3) Behavioral interventions can help with infection/reinfection prevention (e.g., COVI-CAN pilot) and stress/coping support (gaslighting/ostracism as huge issues), but these are not cures, and the same interventions are relevant to people with cancer, organ failure, immunocompromising conditions, etc.
4) Many psychological/behavioral "treatments" for Long COVID are directly harmful to patients and are indirectly harmful to society by incorrectly framing the issues
I would consider these issues obvious in summer 2020.
Articles like this should not be written in 2026, but it is a consequences of cultural evolution, or organizational selection by consequences. The organizations that write puff pieces propping up pseudoscience get the gold, while truth tellers do not. It would be useful to examine the organizational practices at WIRED that led to the incentive systems that allowed this piece to manifest.
The NACC is in crisis, thanks to the leadership of Brereton.
The Albanese govt owns a large share of the responsibiliity too, and now has a serious mess to clean up.

"When a witness (Royal Commission) claims to have been degraded on a bus, I cannot help thinking, “welcome to what Aboriginal people have been suffering for generations”.

Federal spending on private schools under Labor is growing FASTER than funding to public schools.
Labor's pouring $59 million a day into the private system while public school buildings crumble & teachers dip into their own pockets to buy supplies.
What are we even doing here?
“The life’s work of someone who was so loved … pissed up against the wall”: the government’s response to the Murphy report is not only late, but a stark contrast from what Peta Murphy called for. https://t.co/dIPNNomM64
Want to know why most people aren’t winners out of this budget? Because Labor is spending billions on bad things. Things like a bloated $500+ million Australian Submarine Agency with zero submarines, and hundreds of staff trying to create a nuclear waste dump.
Jillian Segal:
"The Australian Jewish community stands with Israel. We are Zionist & we believe in the right of the Jewish people to determine our future,in our state in our historic homeland"
Why is the Australian taxpayer funding a divisive zionist who yearns to be elsewhere?
So Albo rolled out the red carpet to Israel’s President Isaac Herzog a month ago and Israel repays us by returning humanitarian Australians they’d sexually assaulted and tortured.
Why do the media look away?

@7NewsSydney The only people this is bad for is real estate agents and career landlords. Those of us who got in under a scheme are just thankful we have a place we can hang a frame and will stay in our one house for the next decade anyway. Fuck off with your scare tactic bullshit.
Sign up and come along to this event: we'll be screening a short documentary about people who've been punished by job agencies and the mutual obligations system https://t.co/IeAlzeX3M9
Sydney Writers’ Festival is celebrating its best year ever.
Adelaide Writers' Week is reeling from its worst.
