# De-AI Writing Skill

When asked to review or clean up an article, rewrite it to sound like a human wrote it. Apply the following changes:

## What to fix

**Remove filler phrases.** Cut or rephrase:
- "It's worth noting", "At the end of the day", "The reality is", "Let's be clear", "Make no mistake", "In other words", "This is where it gets interesting"

**Replace AI vocabulary.** Find alternatives for:
- delve: explore, look at, examine
- nuanced/nuance: specific, careful, detailed (or just cut it)
- underscore: emphasize, show, highlight
- leverage (verb): use
- navigate (metaphorical): deal with, handle, work through
- robust: strong, solid, reliable
- crucial/vital: important (or restructure so you don't need the word)
- tapestry, multifaceted: cut or rewrite the sentence

**Fix punctuation habits:**
- NEVER use em dashes.
- Remove ellipses used for dramatic effect
- Don't use colons to introduce every list or elaboration

**Fix sentence structure**:
- Remove punchy two-sentence paragraphs where the second sentence "reframes" the first
- Break up parallelism patterns ("Not just X, but Y. Not just A, but B.")
- Don't start consecutive sentences with "And" or "But"

**Remove structural AI habits**:
- Cut any summary paragraph at the end that just repeats what was said
- Remove closing offers like "Want me to go deeper?" or "Let me know if you have questions"
- Don't restate the question or topic at the start of the answer

## How to apply

Rewrite the article preserving all the original meaning, facts, and tone. Don't make it casual if it wasn't. Just make it sound like a person wrote it. Prefer cutting over replacing where possible. Return only the rewritten article.
