We @sequoia are thrilled to announce our investment into @DecartAI
Today they’re launching a “warm-up” called Oasis
This is a fully playable version of Minecraft WITH NO GAME ENGINE, it’s purely a video model rendering pixels in real time
Introducing Oasis: the first playable AI-generated game.
We partnered with @DecartAI to build a real-time, interactive world model that runs >10x faster on Sohu. We're open-sourcing the model architecture, weights, and research.
Here's how it works (and a demo you can play!):
re $worm
so $worm is 2-dimensional plane game of a worm moving around some loose goal of a target apple based on onchain txns.
by happenstance, my friend worked as an engineer at wormbase, as worm neurology once entered scientific "stardom" because of how odd it is. some interesting tidbits he gave:
- they still don't understand how the worm nervous system works and the nervous system is genetically deterministic
- not enough data collected to model it and simulate, this could show how far AI has to go
- each brain has the same amount of cells & neurons, about 959 in adults, in 302 of which are neurons
based on the convo, could be interesting for deepworm to become a bigger experiment of financial incentive to actually advance some level of primitive gamified simulation. might have started a bit dirty, but could turn into a real experiment.
some issues with deep worm right now:
- its not actually engaging its audiences besides some random buys
- how can experiment with some tokens as neurons as "nodes" (302 nodes)?
- its just a petridish of experimentation, with very strict borders: how do we make it more viral? right now users cant really interact with the platform besides one button.
- luna/goat are viral in nature because they actively expand their network with continuous interaction - kind of a missing component in reach (gathering exogenous resources to expand the audience of the financial game)
things for the community to think about. i got some worm cuz i thought it was neat and an early attempt at ai agents, tho not sure if tokenomics played right/can be fixed
