CoHNA proudly supports "Canada Hindu Vote," an initiative aimed at boosting civic engagement among #HinduCanadians and encouraging them to exercise their electoral rights.
The right to vote has not always existed for everyone in 🇨🇦. For a long time, voting was seen as a privilege: certain groups in the population were excluded at different times. Now all Canadian citizens 18 and over have the right to vote.
For #CanadianHindus, voting is not just a right but a critical tool for advocacy. In every election, whether voter turnout is high or low, one person is elected in each electoral district and ends up with the power to make decisions that affect all of us. Low voter turnout diminishes their influence on political decisions and reduces their ability to address concerns of Canadian Hindus such as combating Hinduphobia.
Lawmakers often prioritize communities known for their electoral engagement, which means the concerns and values of Hindu Canadians might be overlooked if they do not participate robustly in elections. Active electoral participation is crucial—it demonstrates the community's dedication to its interests and strengthens their voice in policy-making.
The event saw significant attendance from dignitaries, including @AryaCanada, Ramesh Chotai, @ShawnBinda, @TheophanesRex, Pandit Roopnauth Sharma @missrammandir, who all echoed the importance of voting as a means to empower the community and influence Canada's democratic processes. Also present were @WaliRuchi, and @kids4kids1233.
Remember, Each vote counts, and every election is a chance to shape the community's and country's direction—make yours count.

Hilarious. South African Security Officers physically stop Chinese Officials from entering BRICS main venue behind Xi Jinping. Forcibly shut the door. Surprised Xi Jinping looks behind several times.
@Ahmed560001 Ahmed : You mocked my religion but I won’t scream “Sar Tan Se Judaa” like you guys do. You can’t even tolerate a caricature. This is the difference. Shame
@NioZenji@leelaraagam You continue to use and abuse the word Hindutva despite me explaining you its true meaning. You guys don’t represent true Buddhism. Today I lost all respect for Zenji and your organization. Shame on you guys 😡
@NioZenji@leelaraagam Hindutva literally means “essence of Hinduism” similar to Matrutva (essence of motherhood) or Pitrutva (essense of fatherhood). Hindus revere Lord Buddha and consider Buddhism to be part of Sanatana Dharma. Please stop the Hindu-hate. 🙏
@NioZenji@leelaraagam Zenji : I have had the pleasure of meeting you in person a few years back and hear you speak very articulately. What’s wrong with you now? Your tweets lately are kinda anti-Hindu. All well?
