Inspection of Siyoi Muruny' Water Supply Project in West Pokot County, accompanied by Governor H.E @SimonKachapinK
The project involves construction of:
Conventional Water Treatment Works (TW) at Kabichbich (11.2km from the dam site), with a capacity of 38.8 million liters a day at the ultimate-year 2035.
Water Storage tanks of total capacity of 17.8 million liters.
A total of 127km bulk water transmission and distribution pipelines.
The project is 97% complete and will supply potable water to a population of 350,000 persons by year 2035.

In a move to reduce non water revenue water; Technical team inspected Sepuser - chemaltin 8 inch line noting various leakages which contribute to frequent water shortage in Chepareria town and its environs.
Earlier Today, the county government of west Pokot led by the Deputy Governor Hon. Robert Komole held a consultative meeting with water services regulatory board led by Ag. CEO Richard Cheruiyot. the deliberations were centered on water and sanitation service provision.
