Twomad
After talking online for around a year, Twomad flew all the way out to the UK to film a video with me, and we spent two days together, over those two days he was friendly, funny, playful and a lot more shy than I expected. We were almost the same age, both enjoyed making random shit on the internet so I related with him a lot.

I know lots of people who were hurt by him and it’s not all magically washed away, but serious substance abuse can bring out the worst in some people, changing them in ways that are unrecognisable. He created a cycle where the deranged and erratic effects of drug abuse lead him to isolation, which in turn exacerbates the substance abuse. It was so sad to watch all of this unfold.

My old best friend who actually introduced me to twomad also died from drug abuse in the exact same way, which has made me feel even more heart broken about the situation. Both of my last interactions with them both were nearly identical.

I’m really sad that he’s gone without ever knowing what life could’ve been like for him without his drug abuse problem or to have even lived to the age to be able to self reflect on his insanely unique adolescence he had growing up on the internet. I found his content hilarious and admired how confident he seemed in his videos. He was so creative and often shared ideas with me and we’d both laugh about them. He really created his own genre of YouTube video’s, doing it all while so young. He inspired me a lot, and I will miss him.
