@soigomaa I was doing a deep dive on Steinbeck and you can read East of Eden as his psychology writ large. The twinning shows he was a try hard mothers boy, his mum was a strict teacher and in no way a mother to him, and then there was this bad twin alcoholic who likely stole that work.
