Matters Arising: The Beatitude of Intentionality
by Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola
“The death of a relationship rarely happens with a bang (a fight or a betrayal), but rather with a whimper—the slow, quiet fading of effort.”- Gemini 3
Beloved!
If you once served God passionately on campus—led prayer meetings, fasted, evangelised, or simply sat at His feet in fellowship—and today, you no longer go to church, you mock pastors, you throw jabs at 'organised religion', and wear your 'anti-church' stance like a badge of honour…
You are not more enlightened.
You are not deeper.
You are not freer.
You are wounded.
You are deceived.
You are in a spiritual gap that you haven’t dared to acknowledge.
Because that younger version of you—the one who trembled at the Word, stood for Christ even when it cost you friends, gave sacrificially to see the gospel thrive—that version was the kingdom of God on display.
This older, sceptical version—afraid to hope, too proud to worship, quick to critique but slow to repent—is a detour. A dangerous detour masked as maturity.
I know.
Maybe it was the betrayal of a leader you trusted.
Maybe it was church politics that drained your zeal.
Maybe unanswered prayers shook your faith.
Or maybe it was life… just life—disappointments, delays, transitions—that slowly eroded your fire until cynicism felt safer than faith.
But please hear me:
The Church didn’t fail you. Christ didn’t hurt you.
People did. And you made their weakness your new theology.
Don’t let offence become your doctrine.
Don’t let wounds rewrite your worship.
Don’t let pain push you out of God’s presence.
That distance you're calling freedom is actually a famine.
That detachment you're branding as healing is actually hunger.
You are hungry for God again—but pride is stopping you from admitting it.
Come back.
Not just to a building. But to His body.
Not just to people. But to His presence.
Not just to routine. But to relationship.
And here's what you may have forgotten: the seeds you sowed back then—the vigils, the fastings, the prayers, the selfless service—did not die.
God never forgets seeds. And this season, the Lord says, your seed is ripe for harvest.
“For what you sowed in weakness, God is now raising in power.”
That little you did in hidden places, He has given a body that pleases Him—just as He does with every resurrection.
And this is where Easter meets you—right here.
The message of Easter is not just about an empty tomb—it’s about an open invitation.
The same Jesus who rose from the grave is still calling your name like He did Mary’s.
Still walking through locked doors like He did for Thomas.
Still restoring deniers like Peter.
Still reaching for the distant like the Emmaus travellers.
He rose for you—not just to prove a point, but to make a way back.
This resurrection is your reset.
So come home—not because church is perfect, but because Jesus is risen.
Not because you’re whole, but because He is healer.
Not because you’re ready, but because grace is waiting.
There’s still a seat at the table.
And Heaven has not moved on without you.
Come back. The tomb is empty—and the door is open.
Your seed is not forgotten. The harvest is here.
Easter means
Rise Again!
Make the tomb empty...
Yes you can!
Happy Easter!
@1BongoIdeas That's an unkind thing to say. The heart simply loves who the heart loves and a person is not their body type. Congratulations to the couples ❤️
The Nigerian populace distrust its political class; hence, no matter how noble their intentions are, it would almost always be viewed through a skeptic prism. Y'all need to work on re-earning this trust. @officialABAT@PBATMediaCentre@yinkanubi@Omojuwa@yinkanubi@OpeBee
