ASSOCHAM Secretary General Mr. Manish Singhal addressed a milestone meeting chaired by Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, held on 20th September 2025 at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Make in India Mission and facilitate a strategic discussion on Next-Gen GST Reforms 2.0.

He shared that GST 2.0 is not merely a second wave of tax reform, but a catalyst for consumption-led growth. By lowering prices and unlocking demand, it can spur capacity expansion, fresh investments, and capital formation. He further added that a streamlined indirect tax regime would significantly strengthen India’s position as a preferred destination for FDI.
