This is the best song ever made and if you don’t think so, you’re an asshole:
Makin' my way downtown
Walkin' fast, faces pass and I'm homebound
Starin' blankly ahead, just making my way
Makin' a way through the crowd
And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you tonight
It's always times like these when I think of you
And I wonder if you ever think of me
'Cause everything's so wrong and I don't belong
Living in your precious memory
'Cause I'll need you
And I'll miss you
And now I wonder
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
Oh 'cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you tonight
And I, I don't wanna let you know
I, I drown in your memory
I, I don't wanna let this go
I, I don't
Makin' my way downtown
Walkin' fast, faces pass and I'm homebound
Starin' blankly ahead, just making my way
Makin' a way through the crowd
And I still need you
And I still miss you
And now I wonder
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass us by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
If I could fall into the sky
Do you think time would pass me by?
'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles
If I could just see you
If I could just hold you
Tonight
@rraj2k12@cogecohelps How can you schedule maintenance on a monday at noon? worst possible time with no communication given. A credit should be issued, but it is not enough
@CHCHNews can you please for the love of god get rid of this new theme song? The original was so good, a classic i looked forward to. This new one sounds like it was made on garage band and totally ruins my day. Please confirm once this has been abolished
$GME Thread on Naked Shorting: Why GameStop is Still the Most Shorted Stock in the Market.
1. Short selling means borrowing a stock, then selling it, hoping to buy it back cheaper later.
2. Naked short selling is doing this without borrowing the stock.
3. With swaps, you can bet against a stock without actually ever borrowing the stock itself.
4. Essentially you agree to pay someone in a swap if the stock goes up, while they pay you if it goes down.
5. You can use swaps to hide naked shorting.
6. This way, the bet against the stock ("short position") isn't directly visible; it's hidden in the swap deal.
7. Short-sellers can then use the saved cash from not buying the stock to manipulate the stock price down through:
A) Amplifying downward pressure: With the cash gained from not having to buy or borrow the stock directly.
B) Direct selling: Short-seller might still sell some shares they do own or have borrowed, increasing the visible supply of the stock and potentially pushing the price down.
C) Spreading negative sentiment: They could fund or encourage negative media headlines, research or reports on the company.
This is a very real thing. @elonmusk fought this with @Tesla - the tactic is called "short and then distort".
D) Coordination: If the firm has relationships with other entities, they might coordinate actions where these entities also engage in activities that would push the price down, creating a more significant impact.
Hi @DOGE/@DOGE_SEC please look into hedge funds/short-sellers coordinating & the SEC enabling it ^
8. Now, let us give you a very real life example of why this game is so dangerous.
9. With shorting, you're betting a stock will go down. But as we know, a STONK can always keep going up...
10. In 2021, Archegos - which was supposed to be managing $20 Billion reported only having $9-10BN with $120 BILLION in exposure. Who is highly *regarded* now? They were 6x levered...
11. Archegos used custom basket swaps to hide short positions against GameStop.
12. Archegos swaps went from ETF Swaps to "Custom Basket Swaps" right before GameStop squeezed...
(we credit @IanCarrollShow - the best researcher out there - for alerting us on this. Suggest watching Ian's videos on GameStop).
12. The switch from "ETF Swaps" to "Custom Swaps" happened right before GameStop squeezed; likely was the last attempt to try to force GameStop down before the 2021 squeeze.
13. We know this b/c Credit Suisse - the counter party to Archegos in the swaps - was forced to launch a special committee inquiry that revealed Archegos had exposure to GameStop.
14. In the end, Archegos collapsed. Credit Suisse was forced to take a $4.7Bn loss.
15. As mentioned, the first swaps are a bunch of ETF Swaps (likely the ETF XRT).
16. The ETF XRT has GameStop as one of it's largest positions.
17. In May 2024-October 2024, XRT had reported short interest at 400-800%!!! @TheRoaringKitty can you believe that shit!?
18. For the last few months, they stopped reporting XRT short interest... you can't find the data. @DOGE_SEC hello again. Is this even legal?
19. Failure-to-Delivers (when a short-seller doesn't deliver borrowed shares) on GameStop and the ETF XRT also now have a bunch of missing data...
20. Remember a short is dangerous b/c it can result in INFINITE losses if a stock keeps moving up in price.
21. One more time for the people in the back. In a short position, you can have INFINITE losses.
22. You all remember @TheRoaringKitty's target? JUST UP!
23. TLDR; We think they're using swaps on XRT ETF and other malicious tactics to manipulate the price of @gamestop down.
24. By the way, Citadel has $680 BILLION in DERIVATIVES (swaps fall under derivatives).
25. Today, the derivative market is in the HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS. TRILLIONS!!!
26. We'll leave you with a quote from our favorite cat: Keith Fucking Gill aka Deep Fucking Value aka @TheRoaringKitty aka maybe probably but also DEFINITELY NOT @greg16676935420.
"I'll wager with you, I'll make you a bet. The MORE you DENY me, the Stronger I get".
Good luck to shorts - you're f&cked. MOASS is tomorrow. Always is.
P.S. A crypto reserve established...imagine if @ryancohen was looking at Bitcoin $BTC or Ethereum $ETH or maybe even....naaaaa
