Senate disowns Mele Kyari arrest warrant, rebukes Oshiomhole
The senate on Thursday dissociated itself from the warrant of arrest issued against Mele Kyari, former group chief executive officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, by its committee on public accounts.
The upper legislative chamber also distanced itself from comments attributed to Adams Oshiomhole, senator representing Edo north, who reportedly described the NNPC as a “bunch of criminals and thieves” during the committee’s hearing on Wednesday.

A patient’s relative just asked: "If a fever is the body's natural way of burning off a viral infection, why do we immediately give Paracetamol to lower it? Aren't we helping the virus?"
ENJOY YOUR MONEY NOW BECAUSE….
I have lived in the UK since February 1990 and have spent the majority of my life here. God has been good to me, and I am grateful.
Over those years, I enjoyed stability, peace, and comfort in the company of some close friends who became pillars in my life. We suffered together: Did odd jobs, battled with the immigration authorities, studied together, got married, raised our children, bought properties, and made some money. We looked forward to our retirement together, and so we thought.
Suddenly, people started getting sick and mostly of cancer. One by one, those pillars that surrounded me started crumbling. None of you reading this will believe what has happened to my circle of friends in the past three years. I lost my PA of many years on the 22nd of May 2023, another friend on the 21st of August 2023, another on 31 January 2025, another on the 3rd of February 2026, another on the 19th of May 2026, and another on the 24th of May 2026. These were people I was very close to, and I was involved in their care. They left harrowing voice notes for me and told me things I cannot disclose to anyone before they died. All of them died of cancer. Sadly, I had to bury three of them as their friend and pastor. No two days have been the same for me. I pick up my phone to call them, but they are no longer there. When some clients said they called and sent messages but did not get a response, it was not deliberate. I ignored myself, too, but I am getting better. Life happened!
Why am I being this open? All of them suffered and worked hard. They were between 50 and 65 years old. They looked forward to their pension. They looked forward to spending time with their spouse and grandchildren, but it never happened.
So, to you, who is working hard and looking forward to your pension, there may be no pension. There may be no old age. Start enjoying your life now. Start enjoying your money now. Start fulfilling those dreams now. Do not spend your life laboring to die without tasting what you labored for. That was what happened to my seven hardworking and good friends within the last three years. I am heartbroken, and I missed them all. There is no one to throw football banters with. They all supported teams that I don’t support or like😜
For my remaining friends and readers of this article, may the Lord help us and protect us. Remember that life is temporary and unpredictable. May we enjoy the fruits of our labor, but we need to turn our prayers to intentional enjoyment of our money before it is too late. If old age comes, it comes, but enjoy now. Psalm 39:6.
Hold on, I am trying to book my next holiday. Book yours too. See you later.

I read a comment now and it banged.
The person said: if you are used to listening to unintelligent people, when intelligent people speak, you are confused.
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States for the seventh time won the war that wasn’t a war, so the United States can open the Strait of Hormuz that was open before the not war.
The not war that started to get the uranium that was completely obliterated, so that the Iranians can’t build the nuclear bomb that they weren’t building for the not war that the United States started.
Then the United States which has nuclear weapons threatening to use nuclear weapons to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons because having nuclear weapons is dangerous.
If the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
This is very good news. Civil Servants (people who work in Ministries, not public servants in agencies) have worked for years earning very low pay and virtually no benefits. Other than joining NLC general strikes, I don’t remember them ever going on strike for their own pay and benefits.
The Monetisation Policy of 2003 and the subsequent Sale of Government Houses meant that most of them could no longer afford to live in town. Many moved to neighbouring states and commute daily from there, spending most of the meager salaries on transportation.
The restoration of Gratuity payments and the help with home ownership are the biggest deals in this announcement. Through this too, we will stop the nonsense that you can’t get an allowance if your event is in the FCT but will get it if you just take it to a border town in Nassarawa or Niger state where most civil servants live anyway. 🙄
Well done to President Tinubu for approving these benefits and to Mrs Esther Didi Wilson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, for advocating for them.
Amid the flood of felicitations following my convocation as Overall Best Graduating Student of LAUTECH, I find it necessary to address the stir around my NELFUND appreciation post. I accept the praise, life changing offers and the backlash, in good faith. Still, it is only fair to set the record straight.
I hail from a village in Osun State, raised in a modest family of five. I attended public primary and secondary schools, not by choice, but because even the most inexpensive private schools were beyond our means.
Even then, survival itself; food and clothing was a daily struggle. I walked miles to school each morning, while my parents laboured as jacks-of-all-trades to make ends meet.
For nine defining years before I entered university, we lived within sight of basic amenities yet beyond our reach, no electricity, no television; just lanterns and candles. Against these odds, I earned a scholarship and now this distinction.
In my third year, a coursemate’s father, someone I had once tutored academically, gifted me my first smartphone which I am still using till now. On several occasions, lecturers, moved by quiet compassion, provided me with clothing. There are many other instances, too numerous to recount.
So, I say this plainly, not all of us are born with a silver spoon. Some of us climbed the ladder by holding on to every rung of legitimate support we could find.
As an engineering student aspiring to make academic history, should I resort myself to blaming my family’s financial situation for my inability to afford fees and essentials like a reliable smartphone or laptop needed for skills and certifications?
For me personally, NELFUND was not incidental; it was instrumental and to acknowledge what helped one’s journey is neither propaganda nor misplaced allegiance. It is simply an act of appreciation.
Thank you @NELFUND and everyone that contributed to this success!
Greatness awaits all of Us.
One of the dangers of “hitting back” when someone hits you first is not being able to measure or quantify the level of aggression or anger to be deployed. More often than not, the “hitting back” is either heavier or deadlier than the initiating hit; it is never contemporaneous and commensurate
That’s why there’s a very tiny line between retaliation and self-defense. While the former earns you stricter punishment, the latter exonerates you completely or gets you lesser punishment, depending on whether death occurs or not.
If you have to choose between the two, don’t choose any. Instead, escape from the scene, if you can.
The Apostle Peter was a fearless leader who preached the Gospel when many others were too scared to do so. Pope Leo is already showing himself to be a worthy occupant of the chair of Peter. May God be with him.
Pope Leo XIV:
Jesus told us, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.

BREAKING: 🇨🇳 President of China, Xi Jinping:
“A certain country, obsessed with maintaining its hegemony, has done everything possible to cripple emerging markets and developing nations. Whoever progresses rapidly becomes a target of containment; whoever catches up becomes a threat. But all of this is futile. The world we live in today is a community with a shared future. People do not want a new Cold War; they want a world of lasting peace and universal security."
The word sheep is a general term for both sexes. The male is called RAM while the female is EWE
In a similar fashion,
Cattle is the general term for both sexes. The male is BULL while the female is COW. The use of bull for male and cow for female also applies to elephants, buffalos, camels, giraffes, whales, etc.
Goat is a general word for both sexes. Male is called BILLY/BUCK while the female is DOE/NANNY.
I hope you get it now?
I don’t really understand the maths it takes to send humans behind the Moon and bring them back safely. And the more I sit with that, the more it genuinely messes with my head even tho my love for physics and my knowledge of physics is astounding to a point
Somebody had to work out a path where the Moon’s gravity is pulling you in, the Earth is pulling you back, and you’re moving just fast enough and not slow enough not to get trapped by either. They had to figure out the exact angle to come back into Earth’s atmosphere too. Too steep, you burn up. Too shallow, you bounce off and drift into space. And they had to get all of that right at the same time, for real people sitting in a small metal capsule about 400k kilometres away from home.
Nothing in that system is standing still.
The Moon is moving.
The Earth is moving.
Even the Sun is pulling on everything. And still, some people looked at all of that motion, all of that chaos, and turned it into numbers you can follow. Go here.
Adjust here.
Come back here.
And unlike nepa light, it infact works.
There’s also that moment in the journey where the crew passes behind the Moon. No contact with Earth. No signal. Just silence, with a massive rock blocking everything they’ve ever known. The only reason they can stay calm in that moment is because someone, somewhere, did the maths and proved they’ll come out the other side.
I don’t know what it feels like to trust something that much. To put your life in an equation when you’re that far away from everything.
But I do know this for sure, whatever that level of thinking is, whatever it takes to reach it, it might be one of the most extraordinary things human beings have ever done...
Jesus of Nazareth asked us to Love our enemies, and do good to them that hate us. But the “Jesus of Mar-a-Lago" wants to wipe out an entire civilization from existence.
The former preaches salvation through Love, the latter delivers salvation through Wars.
