On this day: June 26, 2015, close to 10:00 a.m., a loudspeaker clicked on in a media room in the Supreme Court. A case name was read—Obergefell v. Hodges—and officers began to distribute papers from giant boxes to credentialed media, who then rushed to get them into the hands of interns.
