Let's start with the fact that it is perfectly okay to be upset and sad about Taehyung's situation. But that doesn't give us the right to make decisions or draw conclusions in behalf of him.

Saying things like “he needs to rest and step away from the stage��� or “his retirement is coming soon” is just plain cold and heartless.

If you've seen his engagements and listened to what he has said over the past 4 years, you know how deeply he loves performing in front of us. He waited for sooo long to finally do this again. After everything, why are we so eager to take that away from him?

And HE IS taking care of himself. He is visiting the hospital and getting proper treatment for it. If you don't trust anyone else, then trust him. He knows his body, he knows what he needs, and he has always made choices that are good for his health. Taehyung has also repeatedly said that he doesn't want us to worry about him, and I think we should respect that too.

We can worry about him. We can be scared for him. We can acknowledge that this must be difficult to watch. But we can do all of that without deciding what he should do with something he clearly loves.

Let Taehyung make that choice for himself.
