Imagine if the Iranians were doing this to the US military on Biden or Obama’s watch. Republicans would be screaming in the streets and Fox would have these images on air on a loop, 24/7
How can they justify leaving right now?
Diesel costs just hit an all-time high. Our nation is at war. The bond market is quivering. The urgency of AI regulation has come to a critical moment.
Congress should be working overtime. Instead Speaker Johnson sent them home. All to dodge one uncomfortable vote - much like his maneuvers last year to hold off the Epstein files.
You don't have to be a Democrat to find that disgraceful.
In less than seven weeks, Americans can change all this. 48 days to go.
The fact that this Epstein Island visitor doubled his net worth instead of rotting in jail is beyond disgusting.
America started a revolution for much less.
Literally over a fucking cup of tea.
And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually
great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this.
It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership.
Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Booker eviscerates Patel: "He's like an 18 year old kid who wants to join a fraternity that he could never be a member of, doing keg stands and chugging with friends. He's an embarrassment. He is a disgrace. This is a mockery and a sham. What's bad are the people enabling him."
On this day in 1963, four little girls: Denise McNair(11), Carole Robertson(14),Addie Mae Collins(14) and Cynthia Dianne Wesley(14) were killed when white supremacists bombed the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.
The bomber was found not guilty of murder.
#OnThisDay in 1963, a bomb planted by the Ku Klux Klan ripped through 16th Street Baptist Church killing four little girls. The tragedy marked the third bombing in 11 days in Birmingham, Alabama following the federal order of Alabama school integration. #ANationsStory
Sixty-three years ago today, Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley were murdered in the bombing of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church.
They were children. Their lives were stolen by racial hatred and terrorism.
Remember their names. Honor their lives. And continue the work of confronting the hatred and dehumanization that made their murders possible.

If you're reading stories about the Kennedy Center, you're probably reading that it's on the verge of bankruptcy.
The Trumpian Board believes that Trump could and would raise money from donors to avert bankruptcy, but this requires putting Trump's name back up on the building, and the Board believes this should be done.
This story, more than even the Reflecting Pool saga, is emblematic of Trump 2.0 and a cautionary tale of why we cannot elect a president with Cluster B disorders - like acute narcissism - ever again.
Here is what actually occurred: Trump added his name to the Kennedy Center in 2025. He did it without Congress. Trump's name is a metaphorical plague. Performers cancelled. Ticket sales tanked. Donations dried up. Trump was ordered to remove his name and was so humiliated by that progression, that he left a tarp up for months rather than let anyone even photograph the building with his name removed.
So - once again - Trump IS RESPONSIBLE for the economic malaise to begin with. And - once again - putting his name on the building as a solution is a case of sycophants indulging his psychosis. They'd be giving the arsonist an award for putting out his own fire.
Let it go. Let the Kennedy Center declare bankruptcy. Add it to Trump's legacy. Add it to the long and ever-growing list of examples where everything he touches, dies.
And add it to the things we'll fix after he's gone.
Saying non-white people make the country “dirtier” is exactly what you would expect to hear at a KKK rally. And since this is a GOP convention, that totally fucking tracks. One day, JD Vance is going to have to explain to his wife and kids why he said this racist shit about them.
@thejackhopkins Bigger story to me - he is only one dumb fat old man. It is all the others who are propping him up and following in his footsteps with impunity.
I’m fed up and you should be too.
Trump’s breaking ground on his ridiculous “Arch de Trump” WITHOUT congressional authorization and BEFORE it’s been properly reviewed by a federal panel...which is ILLEGAL by the way.
Not to mention it’s an affront to a national resting place for 400,000 of our nation’s fallen.
Our veterans do not want this. Their families do not want this. We, the American people, do not want this.
All of this is ridiculous ego-stroking work, paid for by YOU.

Imagine a country where the citizens seem to think it’s normal for their President to tell them in front of the whole world to “cheat like hell” in the upcoming election and no one has said anything about it. Not Congress, SCOTUS, Governors, former Presidents, no one!
For years, our dictatorial enemies -- Russia, China, et al. -- have said that our democracy is a sham. What need is there of Kremlin propaganda, for example, when the U.S. president himself says the same things?
