@Gm18Louis@dpbrugler He has to improve his consistency, but not having a strong supporting cast helps teams isolate their game plan against him. 2024 was his best year and he had Kyle Kennard at the other end position to at least keep team’s attention.
@TFergusonsStach@forevertogarnet@gmannVOLS The announcers and tv ref explained this in detail. He didn’t have control when his arm started moving forward. It’s an easy fumble call.
@CoachMadProphet I love his violence/fearlessness when taking on pulling guards. Elite combination of explosion, bend and physicality. Higher ceiling than Simmons, but Simmons is much more consistent from game to game.
@pronounDenier@Ad49Ers@Lobs_All_Day I’ll leave it at this - Mike Macdonald is on record saying Nick could play boundary or field corner for the Seahawks, that’s just not where he brings the team the most value. I’ll take his word for it.
@pronounDenier@Ad49Ers@Lobs_All_Day There’s a big difference between “Emmanwori can’t cover WRs” and “he’s better than the top corners in the NFL.” I never said he’s better than the top corners. I said the argument he can’t cover WRs is ridiculous not only based on his athleticism, but the actual game tape.
@pronounDenier@Ad49Ers@Lobs_All_Day He blanketed Justin Jefferson, Puka, Davante Adams and more last year. The on field evidence is there too, but nice try.
@pronounDenier@Ad49Ers@Lobs_All_Day Stribling ran a 4.36 and Emmanwori ran a 4.38. Emmanwori had a faster 10 yard split as well. There are very few receivers who are going to outrun Emmanwori.
@AntGullotta@957thegame@grantcohn@MorningRoast957 Go watch the actual film of him covering Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams & Puca. By no means is he a lockdown corner, but to say he can’t cover receivers is a really bad take.
@carso0onnn Luke Keuchly, Richard Sherman, Cliff Avril, John Gruden, Sean Mcvay, Chris Long, Fred Warner, Philip Rivers & Julian Love all disagree. Every person I listed has been quoted saying Emmanwori is the centerpiece of this defense.
@49erstakes No, he’s the chess piece that enables that defense to stay in nickel and dictate their terms to the offense. Richard Sherman, Kyle Long, Luke Keuchly, Cliff Avril, Phillip Rivers, Sean Mcvay & more have said the same thing.
@49erstakes Haha ask George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk if they think Emmanwori is top 5 on that defense. He rag-dolled both of them all game the last time they played.
@DavidMulvihill8@Marc_regal @ScoutingEnjoyer @StevePalazzolo_ Have you actually looked at Emmanwori’s snap count % since returning from injury? He rarely leaves the field due to his versatility allowing Seattle to play out of a base nickel package. They’re both great players with different skill sets.
@gavinosull1van@MforShoGoW@EliAction0@noribsnorice1 Emmanwori is not a fringe starter, he’s arguably the most important piece of the Seahawks defense this year due to his versatility. He’s not a finished product but saying he’s a fringe starter is not close to being accurate, look at his snap counts since coming back from injury.
