A Call for Equity, Impartiality, and Rejection of Double Standards in National Appointments

Your Excellency @officialABAT ,

I write to you as a concerned Nigerian citizen deeply committed to justice, fairness, and national unity, irrespective of faith, ethnicity, or region.

When Muslim Defence Minister Alhaji Mohammed Badaru was replaced by Christian Gen. Christopher Musa in Dec 2025, no Muslim protested, demanded his removal, or cried religious bias. We accepted it maturely and prayed for his success & fairness 🤲.

Yet all Muslim in the country now demand the removal of INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan, citing his past legal brief framing killings as “Christian genocide” a claim widely seen as biased, inflammatory & promoting Christian extremism while showing clear prejudice against Islam & Muslims.

This is not justice, it’s hypocrisy & selective outrage.

Muslims showed maturity when roles reversed. True equity rejects faith-based or past-opinion demands for removal.

No double standards. Fairness & impartiality for ALL Nigerians. 🇳🇬💪
