@TheStalwart The closed ones set the pace and drive the development of more elaborate tools suited for specific uses, whereas open-source ones come later to expand the user base. With only open models, you wouldn't see that race to be the most profitable or reach the frontier.

@goddek As far as I understand it’s PhD in different field of study, so without judging her work but addressing you doubts and fears, it is bigger problem for PhDs from her field and if you still think that PhDs should be given for sth more ‘scientific’ then look at PhDs from theology:)
